1. What is an entrepreneur and entrepreneurship?


Entrepreneur is the person who organizes and operates a business. It is them who takes risks in
order to stay the business on top and earn money. Entrepreneurship is the activity of how to
make a business work. It is the process to exploit opportunity to bring new product or services.
2. Discuss the three masteries of an entrepreneur.
Mastery of self means the ability to control one’s own desires and impulses. Self-control and
self-discipline is a need to be an entrepreneur. Mastery of opportunity is the primary catalyst for
sustaining success in your career or company. To impart business, management and enterprise
skills and understanding of the business processes applicable to the development of knowledge-
based enterprises. To expose candidates to the processes involved in starting up and running a
business.
3. Choose three traits of an entrepreneur, (3) from D’s and (3) from F’s.
3 D’s
Dream- it all started with a dream to have a business and earn from it
Determined- an entrepreneur must have a determination in success of its business no matter
how many circumstances they will face.
Doer- since it all started with a dream, entrepreneurs must put in action all of their thoughts and
decisions to step up.
3 F’s
Focused- running a business isn’t an easy job. They must be focused with their decisions and
thoughts on how they can improve their business.
Flexible- an entrepreneur must be flexible with its time and management. This will help them to
cope up when they’re already left behind with something.
Forever improving- this is so important to a business because everything changes especially the
perceptions of the customers. The products and services must always been improved to show
different goods to the customers.
4. Discuss the anatomy of an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurial mind frame allows the entrepreneur to see things in a very positive and
optimistic light in the midst of crisis or difficult situations. Instead of being discouraged, the
entrepreneur is able to use these problematic situations as inspiration in creating something
innovative. The Heart Flame talks about personal passion, high organizational commitment and
great people skills. The Gut Game brings out the courage and intestinal of the entrepreneur.
5. Discuss the (3) forms of entrepreneurship.
Social entrepreneurship is the process of recognizing and resourcefully pursuing opportunities
to create social value. Social entrepreneurs are innovative, resourceful, and results oriented.
Business entrepreneurship is the creation or extraction of value. With this definition,
entrepreneurship is viewed as change, generally entailing risk beyond what is normally
encountered in starting a business, which may include other values than simply economic ones.
Technology entrepreneurship is an investment in a project that assembles and deploys
specialized individuals and heterogeneous assets that are intricately related to advances in
scientific and technological knowledge for the purpose of creating and capturing value for a firm

6. Research on the Economic Contributions of Entrepreneurship in Asia & the Philippines.

Choose (1) Asian country and identify the economic contributions of entrepreneurship.

You also need to do the same for the Philippines. You can include both the positive and

the negative contributions.

In the country of China, the technology entrepreneurship output value increased from 2010 to
2014. Its contribution rate to national economic growth is 23.30%–74.35%, with an average of 41.49%.
On the other hand, the Philippines do benefit from entrepreneurship since 57% of the respondents
reported that it affects certain aspects of our economy in terms of the following: it allows international
trade due to buyers and sellers in the market, invites positive competition because there is a diversity on
products and services, it increases our Gross national product (GNP) and Gross domestic product (GDP)
by creating new businesses and job opportunities, while lastly, it generally increases human productivity
therefore creating a higher standard of living for all. Overall, the data indicates that some Filipinos can
recognize the potential of entrepreneurship because in line with the respondent’s answers, they were
able to identify certain aspects in it that helps in the economic development of the Philippines.
