Proyecto Ingles
Your English course in the United States will not be complete if you do
not visit one of the great stadiums in the USA to watch an NFL game.
So-called American Football is the king of sports (followed closely by
Baseball) in North America and watching one of the great games live
promises to be one of the greatest sporting experiences to be enjoyed
in this country.
The Superbowl is one of the most anticipated events each year by all
Americans, (it even exceeds sports expectations, becoming a
multidisciplinary show) and American football in general is lived with a
special passion since it is a sport totally rooted in culture. American.
During your English course in the United States, you can familiarize
yourself with this sport and learn a little about the history of one of the
most exciting leagues in the world, the National Footbal League.
A session in the car cinema
The drive-in or in Spanish "drive-in" was one of the most popular forms
of movie consumption in the United States, especially in the 1950s,
when it reached its maximum expression. Films like Grease, series like
The Simpsons or even video clips like the famous Breakout by Foo
Fighters have represented drive-ins on the screen from the most
classic perspective to the present day.
The drive-in business has been declining brutally to this day. In the
'80s the number of drive-ins still had a good volume but it was
decreasing until there were only a few hundred distributed throughout
the North American territory. However, in recent times, thanks to the
revaluation of vintage culture, these cinemas are enjoying renewed
popularity (albeit out of sheer nostalgia) and there has been a large
increase in audience.
These so-called parabolic flights take place inside a modified Boeing 727
airplane with a padded interior in
which the passenger begins to feel
the absence of gravity. Even a retired
NASA astronaut does pre-flight
training to ensure passenger comfort.
What is idaho?
places to visit?
Named after the falls of the Snake River, Idaho Falls is surrounded
by rolling plains, rugged mountains, and the meandering river. In it
you will find many outdoor activities. Go hiking, fishing, hunting or
camping in the national parks. Go boating on the Ririe or Palisades
reservoirs. Hang gliding, skydive or soar in a hot air balloon from
King Mountain, or kayak up the Snake River. On the Snake River
BMX track you can watch a race, or bring a motorcycle if you want
to participate. You can take your family to the Tautphaus Park
Funland amusement park. During winter you can skate on the ice
rink at Tautphaus Park, or you can go snowmobiling up to the
Caribou Mountains.
After all these outdoor adventures you can relax back in the town
of Idaho Falls. Take a boat tour on the Snake River, hike the green
belt trails, or relax in one of the many parks. Play a game of golf on
a championship course or enjoy watching the animals at the
Tautphaus Park Zoo.
This beautiful town is also rich in history. Discover the roots of the
city on a walking tour of the historic buildings or with a visit to the
Idaho Museum. See local arts and crafts at the Willard Art Center,
and in the afternoon you can catch a performance at the Colonial
Theater or a symphony concert at the Civic Auditorium. Thanks to
the fact that there are festivals and events throughout the year, you
can always enjoy a concert, a play or a cultural event.
