Question-01: Describe how Network Rail influences Britain’s economy?

Answer:

Network Rail measures its companywide and regional performance in core areas of its Britain’s
economy. There are some influences are given below:

To determine lower transport costs for businesses.


To time saving for travellers and businesses.
To supports economic activity through investments in transport.
To connects people and building better relationships.
To satisfy Britain’s increased need for an effective transport system.
To increases demand and reliance upon the rail link.

Question-02: Explain the similarities and differences between training and


development?

Answer:

Training: After employees has been selected for various jobs in an organization. Training has
been provided to them to perform a specific job. Training provides the employee a great
importance to learns the workforce the actually do.

Development: Development is the result of experiences from those experiences, we gained the
knowledge. It focuses more on the personal growth.

There are some similarities between training and development given below:

To reducing learning time.


To provide better performance.
To develop attitude formation.
To helps in solving operational problems.
Helps to adapt changes.

Question 03: Analyze the benefits of Network Rails Advanced


Apprenticeship Scheme as a means of developing new recruits?

Answer:

The “Advanced Apprenticeship Schemes” is a three to six year programme, designed for
young people aged over 18 with at least 4 GCSEs. Apprenticeship also enables practitioners
to gain a license to practice in a regulated profession. Both boys and girls are encouraged to
apply. People who successfully compete an apprenticeship reach the journey man level of
competence.
Basic benefits of Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme as a means of developing new
recruits:

To reduced turnover.
To increased employee productivity and competitiveness.
To reduced costs and less waste.
To promoted social responsibility.
To filled in skills gap.
To motivated and satisfied workforce.

Question-04: Evaluate the various methods that Network Rail uses to


train and develop its employees. Which do you think are most effective?
Explain your answer.

Answer:

Network Rail based in Britain’s is a company. Which took the job to maintain and run the
UK’s rail systems? Network rail has a very impressive development program for their
employees. It is understand that other companies to better results for the future.

Various methods that Network Rail uses to train and develop in employees are as
follows:

Network Rail also offers their own leadership program from where they can
generate the future leaders and for the managerial posts.
Both the companies can get a better pool of candidates why they are hiving
employees.
They have invested 25 million US dollar which allow it to train up 100 frontline
engineering and maintenance people at once.
They provide the “Advanced Apprenticeship Schemes.
They use its own expert engineers as trainers.
All the above discussion and the answer question 4. I think that the “Apprenticeship
Scheme” is most effective and who will carry yet torch of the company’s culture into the
future.
