DARAZ RESEARCH
Introduction:
Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services
from a seller over the Internet using a web browser or a mobile app. Consumers find a product of interest by
visiting the website of the retailer directly or by searching among alternative vendors using a shopping search
engine, which displays the same product's availability and pricing at different e-retailers. As of 2020, customers
can shop online using a range of different computers and devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablet
computers and smartphones.

An online shop evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a regular "bricks-and-mortar"
retailer or shopping center; the process is called business-to-consumer (B2C) online shopping. When an online
store is set up to enable businesses to buy from another businesses, the process is called business-to-business
(B2B) online shopping. A typical online store enables the customer to browse the firm's range of products and
services, view photos or images of the products, along with information about the product specifications,
features and prices.

Online stores usually enable shoppers to use "search" features to find specific models, brands or items. Online
customers must have access to the Internet and a valid method of payment in order to complete a transaction,
such as a credit card, an Interact-enabled debit card, or a service . For physical products (e.g., paperback books
or clothes), the e-tailer ships the products to the customer; for digital products, such as digital audio files of
songs or software, the e-tailer usually sends the file to the customer over the Internet. The largest of these online
retailing corporations are Alibaba, and daraz in Pakistan.

"Daraz.pk" and "Homeshopping.pk," two free classified shopping websites, are among Pakistan's top five
internet businesses. The structure of online shopping websites must be functional and efficient in order for
online company to be successful. The purpose of the study was to examine the usability of two shopping
websites in terms of Efficiency, Satisfaction, and Effectiveness. It was discovered that e-commerce websites
with a higher usability score had a higher chance of being re-visited. User testing and the fast and dirty
approach were both employed as assessment methods. In all, ten customers took part in this survey, utilizing the
fast and dirty way to answer the questioners about their happiness. Then, using user testing, eight individuals
were chosen at random to evaluate the efficiency and efficacy of both websites. According to user testing of
daraz.pk and Homeshopping.pk, daraz.pk is more efficient than Homeshopping.pk, but Homeshopping.pk has a
higher usability in terms of efficacy.

The case study was undertaken to gain a better understanding of the methods via which orders are fulfilled on
an online retail platform. Daraz.pk, Pakistan's first and largest e-commerce site, began as an online fashion shop
in 2012 and has now expanded into a broad marketplace for firms offering anything from electronics to home
appliances to apparel. The case study is around a decision of how to engage foreign brands in the face of rising
local competition and the possible arrival of certain established international competitors. The case study
highlights a number of key trade-offs between in-house versus vendor-managed inventories. This case study
uses the example of a Daraz sales-day event to highlight the numerous pressures that logistics may encounter as
a result of demand increases, as well as the procedures that may be taken to manage such a situation.
