Tiberio Cellini – CV/RESUME

Ever since primary school I have always tried to integrate my school education with a variety of
activities, including professional and amateur sports, the study of foreign languages, participating
in maths and robotics competitions, and, last but not least, my great passion: coding and
programming.

School: My entire education took place in international schools. After joining Ambrit International
School in early childhood, I enrolled at St. Stephen’s School in high school before transferring to
American Overseas School of Rome in my final year, where I followed the IB curriculum. I always
maintained excellent grades until grade 10, as evidenced by a merit scholarship I was awarded to
enter St. Stephen’s. Last year, however, several factors including the general unease caused by
COVID restrictions, hybrid learning, and the worsening relationship with some teachers, lead to my
performance not being as good as it used to be. As a result, at the beginning of this school I moved
to another IB school, hoping that such a drastic change could have a positive impact on me as a
student, and the very satisfactory score I achieved on the SAT in December suggests that it
worked.

Extra-curricular Experiences and Awards: During high school I was selected and participated in
several competitions against both domestic and foreign schools. Some of the most exciting
achievements included several victories in the MAIS RoboMed Robotics Tournament, where my
team won in almost every category, and a third place in the ISMTF Senior Mathematics Team
Competition. I was also invited to attend the G.a.u.s.S. Math Olympiad Preparation Course at
Sapienza University, participated in multiple MUN conferences, and was awarded the PEAP Award
for Academic Excellence on multiple years, including 2021.

Languages: On top of speaking English at a native level, which I now master even better than my
Italian mother tongue, I took multiple language courses, namely Spanish in primary school and
French in high school. I also studied Mandarin, passing the HSK2 reading and writing exam in 2018
and proceeding to spend several weeks in Shanghai in 2019 to improve my speaking skills.

Coding and Programming: I am highly passionate about any topic relating to technology, the
internet, coding, and blockchains. By using online resources, primarily relying on language
documentation, I have become proficient in JavaScript, HTML/CSS (or JSX), GoLang, and more
recently the Rust programming language. I have contributed to several commercial projects and
published open-source repositories containing thousands of lines of code on GitHub.

Professional: My first professional experience involved the design and sale of logos, social media
graphics, and UIs, which eventually lead me to learn front-end and subsequently back-end
development. As a result, I became involved in several S.a.a.S. projects that primarily involved
shopping automation tools, getting paid in cryptocurrencies, which lead me to develop an interest
in trading, which I practice regularly, as well as blockchain technologies, which, after following for
several years, I am currently exploring.

Sports: I am a fairly active sportsman. Although I may be considered an experienced skier and
relatively good tennis player, my favorite sport is sailing, an activity I have practiced since I was 10.
As a member of Tognazzi Marine Village ASD’s squadra agonistica, I participated in several
national and international regattas in the O'pen Bic, Hobie Dragoon, and Hobie Cat 16 classes,
achieving third place as my best result.
Volunteering: My volunteer activity primarily involves tutoring other students in Maths or in
English. During the summer, I have also spent extended periods training others in sailing, which
has been highly rewarding.

General Interests: I am very curious by nature, and like to stay updated about all kinds of recent
events in order to discuss them with my peers. The topics that interest me are very diverse,
ranging from US politics and economic policies to music, fashion, technology, and online trends, all
of which I frequently discuss and debate about both on social media and in person.
