As you may be picked up from these pictures, list down the different human activities that affect the
ecosystem:

A. Most air pollution is created by people, taking the form of emissions from factories, cars, planes,
or aerosol cans. Second-hand cigarette smoke is also considered air pollution.

B. Human-caused fires result from campfires left unattended, the burning of debris, equipment use and
malfunction such as downed power lines, negligently discarded cigarettes, firearms and fireworks
and acts of arson.

C. plastic bags, bottles, cigarette butts, etc. is thrown on the ground, it gets washed into storm drains
and directly into our waterways. In addition to potentially choking, suffocating, or disabling aquatic
life like ducks, fish, turtles, and birds, litter decreases oxygen levels in the water when it decays.

List down some ways that can prevent these activities to protect our environment
- Using non-toxic or less toxic chemicals as cleaners, degreasers and other
maintenance chemicals. Implementing water and energy conservation
practices. Reusing materials such as drums and pallets rather than disposing of
them as waste.
- Vegetation cleared from forests to lessen the risk of wildfire, such as these
branches, can yield renewable energy – a potential source of revenue to help
prevent fires. There's a largely untapped economic opportunity in the forest.
Reducing the risk of fire often involves removing vegetation that can fuel fires.
- Reduce your use of disposable plastics like reusable water bottle, instead use a
reusable grocery bag, get into some do it yourself projects' to reduce packaging,
etc.

EXIT TICKET
In your personal capacity, how can you help protect our environment (Make sure your answer
composes of at least 2-3 paragraphs with 3-4 sentences each paragraph.)
Commented [C1]:
It is important to save environment as life of living beings is completely dependent on it.
Humans utilize the water for drinking, air for breathing and also use other natural
resources for their regular everyday jobs. In fact, the food we consume like milk, eggs, and
vegetables, etc., are also derived from animals and plants, which is provided to us by the
environment around us.

Environment can be saved by planting more trees, recycling, reusing, reducing pollution,
creating awareness through environmental programs, etc. If we want to save the
environment then, we should stop the exploitation of natural resources. Using these
resources cautiously is very important to save the environment.
