In Text Citation in MLA 8

Referencing goes at the end of the work in a different section named ‘References’ or sometimes ‘Bibliography’. But the quoted or paraphrased parts
are indicated by “In Text Citation.” For quotation, the quoted part is kept within two inverted commas. Where the quotation ends, the author’s
Surname and Page Number of the quoted part is to be provided within a First Bracket. This is in text citation. In case of Paraphrasing, some relevant
words may be used after the author’s surname and then page number is to be kept with in a first bracket for in text citation.

For Example:
Quoting: “Nothing before him but a life of toil and drudgery, rendered more bitter by every little smarting vexation and indignity
which tyrannical ingenuity could devise.” (Stowe 14-16).
Paraphrasing: Hawking described (109) Black Hole as an object that is smaller than its Schwarzschild radius.
