Problem #1:
Sketch a unit cell for body centered
orthorhombic crystal structure.

Sketch a tetragonal unit cell and within
that cell indicate locations of the [1/2 1 1/ 2] and [1/4
½ ¾] point coordinates.

For intersection of D’ indices are [111].
For intersection of C’ indices are [110].
(b) The (111) and (111) :

Solution:
For intersection of A’ indices are [100].
For intersection of C’ indices are [010].

(c) The (111) and (001) planes :

Solution:
First we shift the upper plane to the origin.

For intersection of E’ indices are [100].


For intersection of F’ indices are [110].
