6.3 TARGET MARKET

6.3.1 Geographic Segmentation

We have selected Seri Iskandar Business Center as the location

of our business because it is in the heart of the city. It is in the area

which nears to supermarkets and fast food restaurants. Besides, it

is also near to universities, offices, and residential areas. Thus, we

believe that the location is very strategic to set up our business.

6.3.2 Psychographic (Lifestyle)

The target market in Seri Iskandar is divided into two groups which

the first group is students and the second group is the residents.

Most of the time, students are too busy with college life until they

have no time to do their laundry. Besides, the washing machines

provided by the universities are not enough to accommodate a

high number of students. Hence, most students decide to their

laundry outside of the campus. The same goes to the residents

who are working far from their home. They spend most of their

time on the road travelling from home to work. They also have no

time to their own laundry at home. Hence, our laundry services are

provided to make their lives easier and more convenient. With just

one phone calls, their clean clothes are ready at the doorsteps.

6.3.3 Behavioral (Usage Frequency)

Clothing is one of the basic needs of human beings. We wear

clothes everyday and we need to wash them. However, doing the

laundry can be tiring and exhausting especially for students and

residents who work far from home. Thus, we provide laundry

services to simplify the laundry works of the society in Seri

Iskandar. They can now worry less about their laundry as we are

ready to do the jobs on behalf of them.

6.4 MARKET SIZE

Total population in Seri Iskandar is 101,128 people and our market size are

20% of the population which amounted to 20,226 people. (sources:

Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara Seri Iskandar: 70% of 400 students is 280
students
