THEME:” PARTNERING FOR CHANGE, ENGAGING THE WOLRD “

I. INTRODUCTION

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 6 Series 2016.

Civil Service Commission encourages different agencies
such as Department of Education, Commission on
Higher Education, Technical Education and Skills and
other public and private educational training
institutions to adopt and enjoin similar activities in
order to raise awareness among faculty members,
students and stakeholders.
ASEAN (Association of SouthEast Asian Nations)
Community was established on December 31, 2015 in
accordance with the Kuala Lumpur acceleration on the
establishment of the ASEAN Community, which was
signed by the ASEAN Leaders during the 27th of
ASEAN Summit.
II. OBJECTIVES

1. Strengthen the country’s capacity in

preparation for the chairmanship of the ASEAN
in 2017.
2. Promote ASEAN awareness.
3. Help spread information by participating in
different related activities.
III. HIGHLIGHTS OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
ASEAN chairmanship campaign awareness is one of
the most challenging events in the year 2017 in our
country. As one of the implementors of the said
activities. Pinagsanjan Elementary School enjoined and
adopted this kind of event.
 It was Monday morning after the flag ceremony,
as the event started Mrs. Concepcion F. Babaan,
Araling Panlipunan Coordinator, served as the
chairman of the said activities. She gave the
Information/dissemination regarding in the
importance of ASEAN. It was given through a little
discussion to inform the pupils ,teachers, and other
parents guests about a little trivia on ASEAN
Community.
On the second day January 24 2017. Right after
the flag ceremony , the opening program started.
Pupils in Grade I- Diamond exerted their talent in
reciting a poem, while the Grade III-Jasper holding
their talent too as them also reciting a poem, then
followed by a song number to be given and perfomed
by the Grade VI pupils . Selected boys showed their
talent as new rappers . Those given numbers in the
program were related also in the continuous
celebration of ASEAN for PARTNERING FOR CHANGE,
ENGAGING THE WORLD.
On the third day, January 25, 2017. Poster
Making in the intermediate level and learning videos
seen by the primary level. While in the related topics
in Grade III. The skills and competencies was
integrated in the lesson.
During the fourth day, January 26, 2017
displayed of the different flags among the members of
the ASEAN countries. Grade IV pupils were proud in
holding and waving the different flags they made.
Friday, January 27, 2017 as the closing of the
program. Mrs. Minda M. Maṅibo, the school principal
of Pinagsanjan Elementary School gave her
 inspirational message and gave emphasis in the
importance of ASEAN awareness to the young mind
learners. Finally , during closing program, selected
Grade V pupils spent time to share their talent through
especial dance number back to back by the Grade VI
dancers as well. In the end the activities were done
successfully and meaningfully to everyone.
IV. REFLECTIONS
ASEAN Community is the center of the catalyst of
economic growth in Asia. Be proud and support the
journey of the new chairmanship of our President
Rodrigo Roa Duterte, in line with the success of the
economy of our country. Strengthen the awareness
campaign through a simple act. It can be resulted into
a great one. More success and more power to the
Philippines.
