Activity 2

Consider the situation in your School/Division—your organizational capabilities, your level of resources (infrastructure, financial,
human), level of experience in DL, health and safety status, context and capacities of your learners and their households, etc. Then
rank the DL types—MDL, ODL, TVBI, RBI and BDL—from easiest to most difficult to implement. Give the reasons for your ranking of
each. Use the form below. Write down your answers in your Study Notebook. Be prepared to discuss your ranking in your next LAC
Session.
Ranking
1 to 5, from easiest to Type of DL Why?
hardest to implement
Most of the learners do not have devices at home such as laptop/desktop,
1 MDL internet connectivity. Printed materials are at most in need to them.
Television is very common among households wherein it is the fastest means
2 TVB1 of communication and learnings
Radio is very common among households wherein it is the fastest means of
3 RB1 communication and learnings
There are some ways and means to do online learning through mobile data
4 BDL once in a while, printed modules still need.
Requires technical expertise to run for 24/7 which the school may not provide.
5 ODL Moreover most of the learners doesn’t have the devices/gadgets. Internet
connection is also a burden on part of the parents especially they belong to the
middle /low class family

Activity 3

Targeted Interventions for Learners with Special Concerns

The LCP assures that all possible measures will be taken to ensure that no child will be excluded from learning during the COVID-19
crisis. Think about groups of learners in your School/Division who might require special consideration to be able to participate in DL.
Describe what targeted interventions you would develop to include them in DL. Listed below are some examples which may be
relevant to your context. Add others as appropriate. Write down your answers in your Study Notebook and share your ideas at your
next LAC Session.
