1. What are the difference of western concept of Hero and Filipino concept of bayani?
- I think the idea in which western concept of hero is seen in the movie, which the
hero is being it’s character. Hero is a person who is admired or idealized for
courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Which his/her character
are being praised for his/her good character is being portrayed. While a Bayani in
Filipino concept is someone who fights with his ‘bayan’ or community. Which
means helping without expecting in return. I believe Filipino people known as
Hospitable people which is true and with that we have this called bayanihan all
for one. So indeed, we can all be heroes like them. In our own right, in our own
small ways.

2. Enumerate atleast 3 criteria in recognizing heroes. Explain their meaning

- I believe we can be heroes in our own way. For me in recognizing a true heroes
are the following:
1. Courageous- Which means he/she courageous enough to take a risk, have
the willingness and the quality of being ready and to face negative situations
involving danger or pain. But it doesn’t mean, you need to die.
2. Bravery- Which means he/she is bravery in getting over and overcoming that
fear to do something anyway. Bravery is about being ok with tolerating
uncertainty. Bravery is important in because a true hero need bravery to
face fears and overcome obstacles in life. Facing fears in life can help he/she
succeed in life.
3. Inspiring- Which means he/she a true hero gives us both the means and the
motivation to rise above , be creative, grow closer to our goals, learn from
others, and achieve enhanced well-being. Inspiring people is what you can the
best to do, giving them something that makes someone want to do something or
that gives someone an idea about what to do or create

3. What are the steps done by the colonial and post-colonial Philippines in promoting the
heroism of Rizal?
- After the bill was implement Philippines promoting the heroism of Rizal by giving
importance how to love our very own country. He is being known as our National
Hero which we admired. Rizal Works and Writings help one another to discover
what happen during that time. Recognizing all of his hard work and he is being
one of the statue post in Rizal Park somewhere in Luzon. All of his hard work was
paid off when people get to know home more even though it was not easy to get
there. The Rizal Park is known as one of the best tourist guide.
