1. Trigonometry is a powerful
tool for calculating heights
and distances using
Trigonometric ratios.
2. Given either of the angle of
depression or angle of
elevation, the heights or
distances between various
points can be found easily.
3. The values of trigonometric
ratios for various angles is a
constant value always.
4. The key point is to visualize
a right triangle with its
various sides to let
trigonometry take over.
TARGET LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students shall be able to construct
the ray diagrams from the word
problems with given angles.
The students shall be able to verify class.
that angle of elevation and angle
of depression are always equal as
the horizon and ground is parallel
to each other.
The trigonometric ratios are used
to find out heights, distances or
even time intervals between
events
