What is critical thinking?
Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of deliberately and
skillfully conceiving, applying, analysing, synthesising or evaluating
knowledge obtained through, or generated by, observation, experience,
reflection, reasoning or communication.
Abstract: The process of analyzing, applying and evaluating information
to reach conclusion is known as critical thinking.

What are critical thinking standards?
• Clarity: We must be clear in how we communicate our
thoughts, beliefs, and reasons for those beliefs.
• Accuracy: Accuracy is unquestionably essential to critical
thinking. In order to get at or closer to the truth, critical
thinkers seek accurate and adequate information.
• Relevance: Relevance means that the information and
ideas discussed must be logically relevant to the issue
being discussed.
• Consistency: Consistency is a key aspect of critical
thinking. Our beliefs should be consistent. We shouldn’t
hold beliefs that are contradictory.
• Precision: involves working hard at getting the issue
under consideration before our minds in a particular
way. One way to do this is to ask the following questions:
What is the problem at issue? What are the possible
answers?

What are the attributes of a critical thinker?
• Curiosity.
• Seeks new solutions.
• Problem solver.
• Distinguishes between facts and opinion.
• Humility.
• Actively shares new knowledge.
• Careful and active observer.
Abstract: A critical thinker is very curious. He\She finds the
solution of problems. He\She shares the knowledge with other
people. He\She is very careful in every matter.

What are the elements of critical thinking?
Identification: The first step in the critical thinking process is to identify
the situation or problem as well as the factors that may influence it.
Research: When comparing arguments about an issue, independent
research ability is key.
Inference: The ability to infer and draw conclusions based on the
information presented to you is another important skill for mastering
critical thinking.
Curiosity: It’s incredibly easy to sit back and take everything presented
to you at face value, but that can also be also a recipe for disaster when
faced with a scenario that requires critical thinking.
Abstract:
The first element of critical thinking is to identify the problem. Research
on problem and then draw conclusions are also the elements of critical
thinking. Shows curiosity on every question is the basic element of critical
thinking.
