with Trilegal, brings you the XIV Edition of the NLS-Trilegal
International Arbitration Moot, set to take place from 20" to 23"
EN ayA0yal
After successfully conducting the virtual rounds in 2020, with the
knowledge and skills gained, the organizing team of NLSTIAM is
glad to welcome universities from all over the world for its 14th
edition. The four day program will provide a platform to the
students from diverse backgrounds and cultures to interact and
challenge their skills as future practitioners in the field of
international arbitration.
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsisting safety
guidelines, we have decided to hold virtual rounds. The
committee will be utlizing online communication platforms such
as Zoom to provide the peerless virtual round experience as
expected by the teams. Furthermore, owing to our past year’s
experience of conducting an online Mooting environment, we
hope to bring our expertise to the table to provide a smoother
experience for all teams.
SalAbout NLSTIAM
The National Law School - Trilegal International Arbitration
Moot is a pioneering initiative on the part of NLSIU to increase
student engagement with international arbitration law and
practice. As India’s largest arbitration moot, it provides students
with a unique opportunity to gain a working understanding of
arbitration through simulated arbitral proceedings. The Moot
has steadily garnered a reputation as one which deals with the
most cutting-edge issues in contemporary arbitration law and
has attracted participation from India and abroad.
At NLSTIAM, we have always strived to provide the participants
with a truly enriching experience. To this effect, we have invited
several renowned practitioners, arbitrators, academicians and
judges of the higher judiciary to judge the moot rounds. We have
also provided the participants with a top quality moot
proposition, based on nuanced and intricate issues in Arbitration
law, drafted by eminent persons in the field of international
arbitration.aa

All aspects of the Moot including memorial exchange, participant and
arbitrator briefings, and valedictory ceremony are being shifted online. With
the assistance of Zoom, we plan to virtualize a Moot Court environment
where the virtual hearings can be conducted in a hassle-free manner. The
shift to a virtual platform will in no way compromise the standards of
excellence and the brilliant quality of judging we have sought to uphold.
