Program and Elks National Foundation. The benefits that Elks National Foundation

academics, leadership and financial need. The majority receives $4000 each and a few

awarding 150 students based on their academic merits, leadership skills and service,
etc $20,000.

5. Military Financial Aid- Do you or your family plan to or have served in the military? If
so, describe at least one military financial aid program that is available to you? What
benefits do students receive from this type of financial aid?

Answer: All service members are eligible for federal student aid. This includes people
on active duty, in the reserves, veterans, retirees, and those enrolled in other military
programs. The Federal Pell Grant is available to student veterans. The grant grants up
to $6,495 for the 2021-2022 school year, with amounts varying depending on estimated
family contribution, cost of attendance, and enrollment status.

6. Personal Financial Aid Plan- After reviewing the different types of financial aid
available to students, what plan do you have for covering the costs of post-secondary
education? Write a paragraph that summarizes the total cost you expect to pay for
post-secondary education, the sources of aid you plan to use to cover these costs, and
when and how you plan to apply for each program. You may also need to consider
alternate sources of income such as a college fund or savings plan that has already
been set aside.

Answer: What I intend to do after post-secondary education is to work a job and earn
the sufficient money to live on my own since I'm not planning on staying in San Diego.
I'm planning on having a roommate so I don’t think rent will be that big of an issue. I'm
going to a community college so it will be free but there are other expenses that I will
pay for with the money I earn from my job.
