Rx Network Upgrade
INSTRUCTION SHEET

Please review the following instructions to upgrade your product to the network version. Additional
components are needed to run the network version of software. The steps listed below will help those
components install properly on your system.

Upgrading Attendance Rx Single or Demo to Attendance Rx Server
Step 1: Uninstall Attendance Rx Single/Demo Version by choosing one of the following options.
a. Select Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel
OR
b. Run the Attendance Rx Setup and select the remove option.
             Please Note: Your data will not be deleted.

Step 2: Select a PC to function as the Attendance Rx Server. Insert the CD
               on the system. This PC will be the Attendance Rx Server and will store the database.

Step 3: Please choose one of the following:
a. Upgrading Attendance Rx Single/Demo PC to function as Attendance Rx Server
Step 1: Re-install Attendance Rx using the serial number provided with
the network version. Be sure to select Server during the installation
on this PC only.
Step 2: Choose the same data directory and you will be notified
your existing data will be used.

b. Installing Attendance Rx Server on a PC other than Attendance Rx
Single/Demo PC
Step 1: Install Attendance Rx on the new PC using the serial number provided
                        with the network version. Be sure to select Server during the installation
                          on this PC only.
Step 2: After installation is complete, select “No” when prompted to restart
the PC.
Step 3: Copy the Data subfolder from the PC that was previously running
Attendance Rx Single into the Data subfolder on the new server PC.
(The default location for data:  C:\Program Files\Acroprint\Attendance Rx\Data).
Step 4: Restart the PC. Attendance Rx Network Version will start with the
existing data from the Single Version.

Upgrading Time Station PC to Attendance Rx Server
Follow the New Attendance Rx Network Server Installation instructions below. You will have the option during
setup to migrate setup rules and employees, if the computer you are installing Attendance Rx Server on has
Time Station PC or Time Station PC Network Server.  Time card data will not be imported.

New Attendance Rx Server Installation
Step 1: Select a PC to function as Attendance Rx Server.  Insert the CD on the system.  This PC will be the Attendance
Rx Server and will store the database.

Step 2: The install will start automatically.  If the installation does not start, click on the installation CD and double-
click on “setup.exe”.

Step 3: Follow the on-screen instructions. Be sure to select Server during the installation on this PC only.

Installing Clients
Step 1: Select the PC(s) to function as an Attendance Rx Client.  Insert the CD on the system.

Step 2: The install will start automatically.  If the installation does not start automatically, click on
the installation CD and double-click on “setup.exe”.

Step 3: Follow the on-screen instructions. Be sure to select Client during the installation.
