GENERAL GUIDELINES ON THE JOINT IMPLEMENTATION OF
THE 2020 BRIGADA ESKWELA AND OPLAN BALIK ESKWELA
(CONSISTENT WITH THE IATF APPROVED BASIC EDUCATION
LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN)

❖Classes in public elementary and secondary schools shall

open on August 24, 2020 and end on April 30, 2021.
❖BE and OBE shall be jointly implemented starting June 1 to
August 29, 2020 to engage education stakeholders to
ensure adequate preparations for the start of classes.

OF 2020 BE AND OBE RELATIVE TO THE COVID 19
SITUATION

➢BE 2020 - “Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan Tungo sa Kalidad na Edukasyon
para sa Kabataan”
➢OBE 2020 - “Bayanihan sa Paaralan”
New Framework
➢Following social distancing measures, practicing proper hygiene
consitent with the IATF health protocols, DOH protection protocols, local
quarantine rules and other relevant protocols outlined in DepEd issuances
and subsequent DepEd Task force COVID 19 Issuances.
➢The new concept of BE shall focus on preparations and sthrengthening
partnerships engagement to ensure that learning continues whle being
responsive to the global pandemic.
➢In partnership with BE, OBE shall focus on an information campaign on
the implementation of LCP.
➢The National BE and OBE Media/On-line Kick-off Program, which shall be
hosted and led by DepEd Region VI, shall be held on June 1, 2020.
➢ROs and SDOs may hold their own virtual kick-off ceremonies during th
BR Kick-off Week from June 1-6, 2020.
➢If ROs and SDOs opt to adotp their virtual kick-off it may involve:
Orientation on the New Framework, Discussion of the LCP, Investment in
Education, One major BE activity, Conduct of Pyschological First Aid ad
PFA meeting, Discussion of the basic roles
Consistent with the approved BE- LCP, the schedule of activities for
the 2020 Brigada Eskwela shall be as:

In addition to DM 32 , s. 2020, the School Heads shall
take the lead in planning the activities geared on
making schools virus free, ecologically conscious,
resilient, clean, safe and conducive to learning. School
Heads are encouraged to take into account the
engagement of partners the way as stipulated in the
4th pillar of Sulong EduKALIDAD of DepEd in their
school's Learning Continuity Plan.

1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 14, s. 2020 re: OPLAN BALIK ESKWELA
2020, this Office announces the SDO Quezon OBE Public Assistance Control
Center (OBE- PACC) for SY 2020- 2020 with the following composition:

2. The Division OBE- PACC shall serve as an information and
complaints processing and routing mechanism starting from
June 1 to August 31, 2020 in reference to enclosure No. 2 of
DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2020. For other functions of the
division OBE- PACC, please be advised to refer to the enclosure
DepEd Memorandum No. 14, s. 2020 for the term of reference (TOR).

3. If any, email on complaints, requests and suggestions from parents,

students and other concerned citizens shall be sent to
depedquezon2020obe@gmail.com for appropriate action. Updates on
OBE activities and other concerns maybe posted on a special
Facebook Group named DepEd Quezon OBE 2020. The Public
Assistance Desk (PAD) shall accommodate walk- in concerns.
 Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
