5. Unscrew the manual transmission drain plug in advance by preparing and substituting
a container under it to drain the oil. Wait until the oil has completely drained.
6. Replace a sealing ring on a drain stopper. This must be done so that during further

oil and fill the gear oil into the syringe.
8. Insert the syringe tube into the filler hole and use the piston to pour oil into the box.

Periodically (but at least once every 15,000 km), check the oil level in the manual
gearbox, and every 90,000 km or 6 years (whichever comes first), change the oil.
However, sometimes the need to change the oil may arise earlier: for example, when
switching to a different viscosity oil, when repairing a gearbox, etc.
NOTES.
Fill in a manual gearbox with API GL4 / GL5 quality grade oil; SAE 75W-90. If the vehicle
is operated at an ambient temperature below -10 ° C, we recommend the use of API GL4
/ GL5 quality oil; SAE 80W-90.
You will need: a hexagon wrench “10”, a syringe, a funnel, a wide tank for draining oil, a
ruler or tape measure.
To check the oil level, top up or replace it in a manual gearbox, do the following.
1. Remove the air filter housing (see).
2. Clear off a stopper of a control (bulk) opening located on top on a transmission case.

from the top edge of the gearbox.
HELPFUL ADVICE.
To measure the oil level in a 6-speed manual gearbox, we recommend using the engine
oil level indicator (dipstick). Before measuring the gearbox oil level, carefully wipe off the
pointer (dipstick).
6. Measure the level from the top edge of the oil film to the marked position of the top
edge of the gearbox on the dipstick.
The oil level should be: - for a car with front-wheel drive - 43.0-48.0 mm; - for a car with
all-wheel drive - 85.0-90.0 mm.
7. If the oil level is very low, install a funnel in the control (filling) hole and fill the oil to
the desired level. Wrap a stopper and remove streaks of oil.
NOTE.
The plug of the control (bulk) hole is sealed with an aluminum washer. At installation of
a stopper replace a washer.
8. To replace the oil in the gearbox, remove the crankcase cover (see).
9. Remove any dirt from the drain plug.
10. Loosen the drain plug ...
11. ... remove the plug and drain the oil into a previously prepared container.
12. The drain plug is sealed with an aluminum washer. Be sure to replace it.
13. Screw a drain plug, tighten the moment 35 Н · м.
14. Fill the gearbox with oil to the required level (see paragraphs 2-7).
15. Screw a stopper of a control (bulk) opening, tighten the moment of 35 N · m and
remove smudges of oil.
16. Install parts in the reverse order of removal.
