Why
would you need to report an injury to your employer even if you didn’t take
time off work?

Because of you need awareness of an injury or illness, Your employer must send the WCB ab E1 report on it.

You
still need to claim the injury with your employer so that they can rectify any
safety issues. As well, your injury is then in their files
incase you lose time
in the future from the incident (recurring injury).

 If
you do incur costs from your injury (prescriptions, braces, etc.) even if there
is no lost time, will the WCB
reimburse you for these?

WCB will reimburse If your claim is accepted.

Yes,
they will. You need to keep your original receipts and send copies in with a
letter listing them. You need to keep the receipts for 12
months.

If
you are filing a claim and there is time lost, what forms are needed?

These forms are required by the WCB if you are off work after the day you were injured.

WCB gathers the above information to validate your claim and ensure that you
are an employee, injured at work, and can’t work
due to the injury. By
validating this information, they will either accept or deny your claim.
