* It is important that the OPGW cable is optimized for minimum diameter, thus achieving minimum lateral w

* Generally, 115 kV and 230 kV towers support OPGW cable up to 12.4 mm in diameter without the need f

* When the mechanical design values of the tower are exceeded, the first thing that will require refurbishm
transmission tower. Generally the earth shield wire is connected to the tip of this peak.
