Hotels
Definition A Hotel is a facility that provides paid lodging, with full services on a daily basis and it is classified by stars.
of hotels
The grading To classify a hotel, a three-step grading process will be applied which covers mandatory, minimum criteria, and a minimum score per category.
processes 1. Mandatory Requirements: All mandatory requirements have to be met by a hotel. Without full compliance to these points, a classification is not
possible. The hotel’s license is at risk if any non-conformities cannot be rectified in due course.
2. Minimum Requirements: In case one or more minimum requirements (“M”) are not fully met, a classification in the desired category will not be
possible. The hotel must solve this situation swiftly in close cooperation with the MT or it will be downgraded.
3. Minimum Score: All points added, an overall percentage of all points in comparison to the total of possible points:
Maximum points per category 593 618 779 939 1,152 1,548
