3. Cartenz Peak
Despite its status in the tropics, Indonesia is awarded a natural wonder in the form of snow
which is usually only found in countries with sub-tropical to moderate climates. This snow can
be found on the Cartenz Peak which is the highest peak in Indonesia which is included in one of
the seven summits on 7 continents of the world. The peak of this mountain has a height of 4,884
meters above sea level.

The hidden pearl in eastern Indonesia besides Raja Ampat is Takabonerate which is
located in the Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi. The natural beauty of
Takabonerate makes it a very interesting natural and marine tourism. The beauty of this
island has been named the third best in the world after the Maldives and the Marshall
Islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Takabonerate National Park is the largest coral reef area (atoll) in Indonesia and even in
Southeast Asia with a very high level of biodiversity. Located in the Coral Triangle
Initiative (CTI), this area is a habitat for a variety of rare and protected marine biota. if

Called the largest atoll in Southeast Asia, Takabonerate National Park is the third largest
atoll area in the world after Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands and Suvadiva in the
Maldives. The total area of this national park is 530,765 hectares, of which 220,000
hectares are atolls and lagoons with a coral reef spread of 500 km ².
