New Government Funding for

Stalybridge Street Feast
The Conservative government
have released money to help
businesses recover from the
pandemic. And thanks to
pressure from your local
Conservative team, more of
this money is coming to
Stalybridge.
Tameside Council received
£200,000 as part of the
"Welcome Back Fund" to be
Kurt with Stalybridge South Conservative councillors, Liam Billington
spent on schemes to encourage

lockdown restrictions were
lifted. The Conservatives have
been campaigning for
Stalybridge Market Hall to be re-
opened as a high end offering
just like Altrincham Market.
Kurt said: "The success of the
Stalybridge Street Feast shows
there is a case to get on with re-
opening the Market Hall. It's
certainly been a great help to
local businesses and people
have really enjoyed themselves."

Conservatives Get Action on £2,000 Raised for Barty's

Canal Graffiti Clean-Up
The graffiti on Tesco's bridge has
been removed. But more needs
to be done to tackle graffiti.
Stalybridge is blighted by graffiti
and at the election, Kurt said he
wanted action to tackle the
graffiti that plagues our towns.
Kurt has been working with
Stalybridge South Conservative
councillor, Liam Billington to get
the graffiti removed. With pressure
we are starting to see parts of the
canal start to be cleared up.
However we know this isn't good
enough and the council need to
be acting faster to get graffiti
cleared up in more locations.
If you spot graffiti, please contact
Kurt and we will get it reported.
Foodbank Fundraiser
Recently Kurt held a fundraiser
for Barty's Food Bank at
Dukinfield Golf Club which raised
just over £2,000.
In addition to his day job as a
construction worker, he performs
with friends as part of a boyband
tribute act, The Ultimate Boyband
Experience.
Steve Barton who runs the food
bank thanked Kurt said: "It was a
really great night. The money will
really help the foodbank survive
over Christmas. Thank you to Kurt
and the lads for doing this for free Kurt with Steve Barton at

Kurt Calls for Greater Road Safety

Kurt is calling for more measures to
tackle speeding across Dukinfield
and Stalybridge.
Recently Kurt was out on Oxford Road
in Dukinfield with a speed gun doing
a survey of those going over the
speed limit. Oxford Road is notorious
for speeding and although it has a
speed camera, people slow down for
the camera and continue on at speed.
Kurt wants to see more being done to
tackle speeding, especially given
there are many schools that are in the

area like St. John's off Lodge Lane,
another speeding hotspot, along with
St. Mary's on Cheetham Hill Road
which affects children attending Yew
Tree, Oakdale, Astley and as far as
Broadbent Fold.
Kurt said: "We want to encourage as
many children walking to school, but
we need the right conditions to make
