Note: If you have data on Priority 2 parameters, substitute actual values for these and compute the rest
Do the same if you have data on Priority 2 and 3 parameters
Check for the following, you may need supplemental C or nutrient
feed if condition is not satisfied

COD/TKN > 20, then there may be insufficient N for cell growth
COD/TP > 150, there may be insufficient P for cell growth
COD / TN > 5, there may be insufficient carbon for denit

Can be lower in some wastewaters with grit, typical range is 0.7 to 0.9

Range is 1.75 to 2.5 BOD5, higher for raw influent compared to primary effluent
Alternatively, you may use SCOD = 0.5 COD
Sample is flocculated with alum, then filtered and analyzed for COD

Can vary from 10% to 150% of SBOD5, depending on fermentation in the sewers
Range of 5 to 20%, higher with mix of industrial wastewaters
Can be higher if there is cellulosic material, certain industrial feeds

Can be 0.12 COD in plants with recycle from anaerobic digesters, lower in plants with no recycles

Range of 2.5 to 5%, can be high in some industrial wastewaters & plants with anaerobic digesters
Range of 2.5 to 5%, can be high in some indutrial wasatewaters
If plant has recycles from solids handling, it will be 0.5 to 1 mg/L
If plant has recycles from solids handling, it will be 0.5 to 1 mg/L

Can be 3% of COD in places with phosphate detergent ban

Range is 0.5
It can also betotaken
1 PCODnbio
as 0.5 (TSS - VSS)

Coastal wastewaters, surface waters

Non coastal waters, certain groundwaters
mpute the rest
