For individual issues:

• If no reply yet within 24 hours, send a text message that starts with: FEU PhiLaw - [Your Surname] - Following Up

JOURNAL
• Handwritten
• Must comply with guidelines for handwritten files (refer below)
• Must bear the date and the title of the lesson at the top left corner of the page
• At least half a page, and at most one page, per entry

FORMATTING GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS


Headings
At the top left of the first page write in regular text:
[Your Name]
[Title of Assignment]

File Naming Protocol


When naming your file, use the format:
[Name of Assignment] - [YOUR SURNAME IN ALL CAPS]

Formatting Protocol
Paper size: A4 or US Letter
Margins: 1 inch on all sides

For Typed Assignments


Typeface: Arial or Helvetica or Helvetica Neue
Size: 14pt
Spacing:
• Single
• One line between paragraphs
• Indent the first line of a paragraph
Justification: Justified on both sides
File Type: .pdf or .doc or .docx

For Handwritten Assignments


Pen Type: Gel pen or rollerball or fountain pen ONLY
Pen Point: 0.7 to 1.0 pt or Medium to Broad nib ONLY
Ink Color: Blue or blue-black or black ONLY
File Type: .jpg or .jpeg or .png or .pdf ONLY

EXCEPTION: For journal entries that involve art, you may use pencils, markers, paint or other media, in any color.

CITATION GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS


Use Chicago/Turabian format for your citations of non-legal sources
Use Bluebook or other local style guide equivalent for legal sources
All citations should be done as footnotes.
