[MUSIC].

Okay stop there.

Stop.
Say those lines to me.
>> I can't find you now; you're hiding in a
big rain cloud.
>> Again.
>> I can't find you now; you're hiding in a
big rain cloud.
>> One more time.
>> I can't find you now; you're hiding in a
big rain cloud.
>> You're hiding in a big rain cloud.
>> so, so, there's, there's a couple of
things going here.
first of all, if I say to you, I can't
find you now.
You're hiding in a big rain cloud.
It sounds funny, doesn't it?
>> Yeah.
>> So, sing it like you're singing it now.
[MUSIC]
>> I can't find you now.
>> [MUSIC]
You're hiding in a big rain cloud.
>> And so here's the end saying, hello, I'm
in.
>> [LAUGH] and say, saying look at me, I'm
in the spotlight.
You're hiding in as opposed to on, what,
or under no, you're hiding in a big rain
cloud.
>> [LAUGH] and so, and so, let's, let's
start there, instead of saying you're
hiding in a big rain cloud.
Saying you're hiding, in a big rain
cloud, right?
[MUSIC] Let me sing it[MUSIC].
[MUSIC] in a big rain-cloud.
That's right.
>> i can find you now.
You're hiding in a big rain.
[MUSIC] Now see, you can see the
raincloud now.
Almost, not quite.
so, so, so that, so that what we've done,
I don't mean to sound like an English
teacher, we've taken the preposition,
which is a weak little thing, in
language.
taken the preposition off of the big
spotlight note.
you're hiding, in a big raincloud.
>> And it's good for hiding, too.
>> Oh, yes.
>> You're hi-, you, you can even elongate
the note, Mm-hm.
>> And, and kind of hide in it.
>> Mm-hm, yup.
Well I, I, I actually, like you sense
that you're hiding.
>> Mm.
>> In a big ri-.
And, and, and, and so now, you're hiding
where?
Where am I hiding?
>> In a big rain cloud.
>> In a big rain cloud.
Note that rain cloud Which is one of
those compound words in English.
and compound words like raincloud,
sunlight, hot dog.
midnight.
Compound words almost always in English,
go stronger, less strong.
So that the first syllable is stronger
than the second.
And you're singing, you're hiding in a
big, in a big rain-, in a big raincloud.
In a big rain cloud.
And actually, the natural shift is you're
hiding in a big raincloud.
Instead of a big rain cloud.
So, if I'm hiding in a big rain cloud, if
I sing it to you like that, it doesn't
carry the meaning, you don't see it.
And if you can't say it like that, you
can’t sing it like that.
So you’re hiding in a big rain cloud.
Here, so try it.
>> You’re hiding in.
[MUSIC]
>> Nope Oh.
You’re hiding[MUSIC] In a big rain.
How?
Big rain clouds.
>> Give it a rest between big and rain.
>> Big rain clouds.
>> Okay.
You go and try it.
>> I can't find you now, you're hiding in a
big rain.
Oh, in a big, rest, rain cloud?
In a big rain cloud.
>> Yeah.
Try it now.
>> I can't find you now.
You're hiding in a big rain cloud.
