B1005: TERMINAL LINK BUILDING TYPE 1 BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS

Introduction
This model is of a small terminal concourse building,
and is intended to be used in conjunction with the
Terminal Main Building Type 1. It can be used to join
two of the main buildings together, or as a side
extension to the main building, or it can be used on its
own.

General Notes
Read the general building instructions, and then these
instructions, before commencing construction.
The diagrams always show the unprinted side of the Fig 3 – Roof Ends Glued Flat
card in grey.
Glue one of the roof undersides on each side on the
Overview roof, printed side up (see Fig 4). Make sure they are
flush at the sides, and aligned with the folds in the roof.
The parts that make up the terminal link building are
shown in Fig 1.

formed by the folded roof (see Fig 5). Work towards
the other end until all the tabs are glued down, bending
the roof to follow the shape of the wall as each one is
done.
Position the side wall so that it is immediately adjacent
to the roof underside, but not overlapping it.

Variations
The link building can be joined to the terminal main
building on one or both sides. To do this, trim the side
of the roof where the buildings are to be joined, using
Fig 5 – Fitting the First Side Walls the blue arrows on the card as a reference. Omit the
roof underside and fit the side wall so it is flush with
Fit the other side wall in a similar manner (see Fig 6). the roof. Join the two buildings by gluing their side
walls together, and use the roof joints and side joints to
conceal any gaps between them.
The link building can be used to join two main
buildings together, in which case the roof should be
trimmed on both sides, as described above, and the side
walls glued together (see Fig 9).

Front and Rear Walls

Carefully fold the front wall sections to match the
shape of the side walls and glue to the tabs on the front
of the walls (see Fig 7). Fig 9 – Link Building Joining Two Main Buildings

The link building can also be used as an extension to a

main building on one or both sides (see Fig 10). Trim
the roof on one side, as described above, and glue the
buildings’ side walls together.

Turn the building over. The completed model will
appear as in Fig 8.
