Experiment 1

1. A Install and Configure antivirus software in your system

➢ We will install Quick Heal Antivirus using the Quick Heal CD or by downloading the
Quick Heal Installer from www.quickheal.co.in

A. Using Quick Heal CD

1. Insert the Quick Heal antivirus CD/DVD in the DVD drive.
2. Click Install.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
B. Using Quick Heal Installer
1. Download the Quick Heal antivirus from https://www.quickheal.co.in/quick-heal-
product-installer.
2. To install Quick Heal antivirus, double-click the product setup and then follow the on-
screen instructions.

➢ Once done, you should register the product online to enjoy full benefits and
configurations of the antivirus and configure quick heal by following the given steps:
➢ Open Quick Heal antivirus.
➢ On the Quick Heal Dashboard, click the Register Now button.
➢ On the Registration Wizard, enter the 20-digit Product Key and click Next.
➢ The Registration Information appears.
➢ Enter relevant information in the Purchased From and Register for text boxes,
and then click Next.
➢ Provide your Name, Email-Address, and Contact-Number. Select
your Country, State, and City.
➢ If your State/Province and City are not available in the list, you can type your
locations in the respective boxes.
➢ Click Next to continue.
➢ A confirmation screen appears with the details you entered.
➢ If any modifications are needed, click Back to go to the previous screen and make
the required changes.

➢ Click Next to continue.

➢ Your product is activated successfully. The expiry date of your license is
displayed.
➢ Click Finish to close the Registration Wizard.
➢ Once Quick-Heal is done with the full scan of your system it will prompt a
window
➢ Select how frequently you want your system to be scanned
➢ Select the type of scan
➢ Click Finish.

1. B Set-up OS Updates

➢ How to update Windows 7, 8, 8.1,10 OS:

1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button in the lower left corner. In the search
box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click either Windows Update or Check
for updates.
2. Click the Check for updates button and then wait while Windows looks for the latest
updates for your computer.
3. If you see a message telling you that important updates are available, or telling you to
review important updates, click the message to view and select the important updates to
install.
4. In the list, click the important updates for more information. Select the check boxes for
any updates that you want to install, and then click OK.
5. Click Install updates.
