Introduction to E-education

Online studying is application of internet and technology in the field of education. It’s usually stated as “e-
studying” amongst opportunity phrases. However, on line studying is clearly one shape of “distance
studying” -the umbrella time period for any studying that takes region throughout distance and now no
longer during a traditional-classroom. This mode of training became for the maximum component hired in
advanced countries like U.S and opportunity European international locations. The usage of on line mode of
studying wasn't consequently vibrant in Asian U.S.A and opportunity growing international locations in
comparison to the advanced U.S.A., despite the fact that the usage of era for training reason became hired in
a few professional line of labor. However, it really became in the yr 2020 that we have got witnessed a
growth in on line coaching structures and sectors, during the pandemic. As college and colleges spherical the
sector became pressured to close down, it really became during those darkest of instances that we have got
visible era transportation lightweight to humanity, mainly in the training region. It really became during
those vital instances, which people done the significance of digital categories, and are created speedy to
evolve to the ones dynamic harsh instances. A growth in call for laptops, headphones, web-cam Associate in
Nursing opportunity add-ons for virtual leaning are detected in an rebel fee.

In 2020, over four-fifty six million instances rectangular degree rumored throughout 188 international
locations and territories and over three, 08,000 deaths; despite the fact that the Recovery fee is over one.
With the huge spread of illness, in the 2d week of March; kingdom governments throughout the U.S.A.
started out motion down all the general public locations in which there rectangular degree possibilities of
accumulating and chance of spread of the virus. These locations encompass faculties, faculties, offices, non
secular locations, restaurants, cafes, gyms, and lots of numerous social gatherings locations. Totally the
locations that provide vital offerings rectangular degree allowed final open like grocery stores, hospitals,
scientific stores, etc. The compulsory termination is concisely measured to incorporate the spread of the
unconventional corona virus& currently it is round style of months currently and there's no truth as soon as
the imprisonment rectangular degree aiming to be raised.

One in all of the remarkable affects of Covid-19 is at the training region of the U.S.A. Board examinations,
instructional organization admissions, front exams of numerous universities and aggressive examinations,
others, rectangular degree being control during this era. Because of the instances rectangular degree passing
via way of means of and not using an instant solution to prevent this irruption, the closure of college and
college is vastly touching the educational throughout the U.S.A. The shape of the training gadget i.e.
studying methodology, coaching techniques & evaluation methodologies, rectangular degree pretty affected
and effects in a shift to on line training with maximum goal digital training to perform the set ambitions and
objectives. However totally one or 2 colleges of faculties of schools} of college and universities ought to
undertake such approaches and moreover the low-earnings non-public and authorities college rectangular
degree pretty inefficient to undertake identical, consequently ensuing in a termination. Not totally the
college, however the pandemic has collectively appreciably discontinuous the better training region any, that
could be a crucial determinant of a U.S.A.’s financial future. Most governments decided to concisely close
academic establishments in a totally shot to cut again the spread of COVID-19.As of 12th Gregorian
calendar month 2021, on the brink of 825 million newbie’s rectangular degree currently affected because of
college closures in reaction to the pandemic. In step with UN corporation observation, twenty three
international locations rectangular degree currently imposing national closures and 40 rectangular degree
imposing local closures, impacting regarding 40 hill of the sector's pupil population. 112 international
locations' faculties’ rectangular degree currently open. On twenty three March 2020, Cambridge
International Examinations (CIE) unfastened Associate in Nursing statement spoken language the
cancellation of Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge grade, Cambridge International AS & grade, Cambridge
4
AICE certificate, and Cambridge Pre-U examinations for the May/June 2020 collection throughout all
international locations. International Baccalaureate assessments have collectively been off. Faculty closures
effect now no longer totally students, teachers, and households however have complete financial and social
consequences. College closures in reaction to the pandemic have shed lightweight on numerous social and
financial issues, alongside aspect pupil debt, virtual studying, meals insecurity, and condition, any as get
right of entry to carrier, fitness care, housing, internet, and disability offerings. The effect became a
remarkable deal of extreme for underprivileged kids and their households, causing interrupted studying,
compromised nutrition, carrier problems, and sequent quantity to household’s administrative frame couldn't
work. Analysis highlights sure dearth much like the weak spot of on line coaching

Infrastructure, the limited publicity of academics to on line coaching, the information gap, non-conducive
environment for studying reception, fairness and academic excellence in phrases of better training. This
textual content evaluates the effect of theCOVID-19 pandemic on coaching and studying method throughout
the sector. The demanding situations and possibilities of on line and persevering with training during the
COVID-19 pandemic rectangular degree summarized and way ahead steered.

Nature of the study

During the pandemic, we have got witnessed but covid-19 has created human beings increase their technique
of questioning and bring innovation in even the most primary and day by day paintings of someone.
Whereas we have a tendency to have been compelled to stay amongst our family, we have got advanced
approaches wherein to connect to people or even nevertheless develop our statistics and getting to know.
Especially, the internet coaching platform has been a leap forward in making use of generation for getting to
know functions. The COVID-19 pandemic has created the most important disruption of training structures
inside the human history, touching almost one.6 billion novices in greater than two hundred countries.
Closures of faculties, establishments and absolutely distinct getting to know regions have compact lots of
than 90 4 of the world’s scholar population. This has added sweeping modifications in all factors of our
lives. Social distancing and restrictive motion regulations have appreciably disturbed historic educational
practices. Reopening of faculties after rest of limit is every other venture with many new standard operating-
processes location in. amongst a short span of the COVID-19 pandemic, many researchers have shared their
works on coaching and getting to know in diverse approaches wherein. Numerous colleges, faculties,
faculties and universities have interrupted face-to-face-mode of teachings. There is a fear of dropping 2020
educational 12 months or perhaps lots of most of the returning destiny. The want of the hour is to provoke
and put into effect absolutely distinct educational gadget and evaluation approaches.

The COVID-19 pandemic has furnished USA with diploma possibility to pave the approach for introducing
virtual getting to know. This textual content goals to offer a complete record at the effect of the COVID-19
pandemic on on-line coaching and getting to know of assorted papers and imply the approach forward. The
internet has appreciably changed but we have a tendency to talk with each other conjointly as but we get
entry to, percentage and facilitate statistics. the hassle isn't always any similarly one in each of the way to
use generation to imply, but one anyplace teachers well known the technique the earth is already developing,

5
and understand the significance of online talent and consequently the position that collaboration and online
engagement performs in scholar getting to know and their destiny geographical factor surroundings.
Software and generation modifications extraordinarily apace, and in rectangular degree usually hard to stay
up with those developments. It is important as a way to consciousness on knowledge powerful training
strategies for online coaching in place of the generation itself. Some of the important thing edges of online
training are:

• Increased flexibility of area Learning and coaching will appear in any area (home, office, while travel,
occasional shop) and could encompass college students and teachers from diverse geographical locations

• Information Sharing Online training presents possibilities to get entry to and percentage statistics extra
really and pronto. Lecturers and college student’s rectangular degree capable of be a part of online groups of
observes supported their area of hobby in place of their geographic area.

• Diverse and Enriching information Online training will beautify the pupil getting to know information via
way of means of offering possibilities for cross-disciplinary, society and/or cross-campus collaborations.
This getting to know information will arise at vicinity, countrywide or global level, and could be enriched
via way of means of accrued interplay and engagement, peer feedback, and cluster paintings skills. Similarly
some of the risks are:

• Access to generation in a few times college students and teachers might also additionally also be
constrained of their ordinary get entry to dependable or perfect generation. Many people might also
additionally also be sharing a computer or cellular tool amongst one family, or would possibly consider
mistreatment computer systems on discipline or during a public location (e.g. library, internet restaurant,
etc). Students or teachers may additionally totally have constrained get entry to wanted software program
package.

• Access to the internet now no longer all college students and teachers have ordinary or dependable get
entry to the on-line. In numerous instances internet get entry to might also additionally also be constrained to
dial-up speed, or there might also additionally also be a capped month-to-month utilization on their internet
that could restriction their cap potential to get entry to or engage with statistics.

• Ability to apply generation a few technology and gear want education. In a few times, technical education
won't be pronto accessible to college students or teachers. The following quantitative evaluation paper
makes a specialty of the projection of Ed-tech systems (Byju’s, uacademy etc) and the manner they want
visible partner exponential increase amidst the pandemic.
6
This have a look at addresses a chain of queries regarding Ed-Tech institutions similarly as modifications at
faculty and faculties during the pandemic, at the man or woman and status of online getting to know; but
institutional representatives recognize their establishments' guide for online getting to know, and
implications for country and local policy/planning. A dependent shape become accustomed accumulates
statistics from college students UN Company has actively participated in online publications presented via
way of means of Ed-Tech institutions. This evaluation is based at the quantitative statistics accrued from the
individuals of online getting to know systems and survey carried out on training institutions amidst the
pandemic.

Literature Review

“Since the COVID -19 pandemic has non-non-stop the first-class existence kind of people throughout the
international, the digital international has go back to the rescue. Amongst many establishments faculties
have together shifted their base to digital structures to behavior training on line. The COVID-19 taking place
has stopped the educational year, off training and examinations throughout the country. To substantiate that
scholars do now no longer leave out on their studies, college’s captive training on line, forcing college
students to wait lectures through their devices. Whereas geographical region has warm on line training from
pre-number one to magnificence II, province and Madhya Pradesh have prolonged the ban until class V. At
now, we have a tendency to do not recognize the quantity to it COVID-19 can motive a few share of
faculties and universities to scrub up or merge. The principal inclined of tuition-established establishments;
drastically the ones already dealing with demographically pushed declines in call for unit are the hardest hit
via way of means of the pandemic. For the overpowering majority of faculties and universities which can
live on COVID-19, maximum can altogether probability sees declines in sales and a boom in prices? We’ve
were given a bent to have a tendency to pray that faculties vicinity their people as budgets unit reduced.
We’ve were given a bent to have a tendency to discovered from the 2008 recession that trying ahead to
layoffs to stability college budgets is that the fastest due to kill innovation, threat taking and morale.”- The
Economic Times.

“Environments amongst that a few unit confined will continuously in response manufacture situations that
prevent the general improvement even of these administrative frame fancy they fancy entire freedom for
unhampered increase, on line schooling will now no longer lead off a revolution. The key trouble being that
our schooling machine became by no means truly reasonably priced even most of the better of instances and
conjointly the pandemic because of covid-19 has rendered it even worse. Internet can also be a residence
complete of understanding most of the kind of coaching videos, getting to know schemes, such lots in order
that the govt. needed to line diverse pointers, for this motive the National Council of tutorial evaluation and
training (NCERT) and conjointly the Central Board of instruction (CBSE) comes into the image.” -The
Hindu written via way of means of Rohit Dhankar, in poorly pastime educational structures as in India.

To preserve with the article, there unit mostly 3 principal troubles that desires to be self-addressed to shape
on line coaching a medium of schooling, those being:

1. Exacerbation of inequality- “Students and teachers actually have their personal struggles while having
access to those on line structures. Because of cash constraints, college students do not appear to be prepared
to get right of entry to internet, and unit without digital devices and private computer, smart phone or laptop
or maybe radio and television. Those college students World Health Organization have centers to take care
7
of on line classes face boundaries in phrases of inconvenience of bodily region this is similarly relevant to
teachers World Health Organization unit purported to behavior on line classes from their home. There are
also social boundaries like discrimination towards girls as they are anticipated to adapt to agency chores in
preference to attending on line classes in the morning.” –The Financial Express. In rural areas, boys unit
normally anticipated to determine at the own circle of relatives farmlands. In houses anyplace TV and radio
unit accessible, the query of World Health Organization has control over those devices is fairly necessary.
“Most of the time, girls do not appear to be allowed to appear at educational programmers.”-The Hindu

2. Primitive coaching troubles main to bad first-class schooling—“On the contrary, from politicians to
bureaucrats to private firms, all unit concerned completing the data, assessing college students related
carrying out front assessments for clinical and engineering publications via on line mode in an exceptionally
haste, ignoring the troubles and troubles of the marginalized segment of the society.”-The Mint

3. Excess use of on line mode of schooling – “Online classes will end in hyperbolic publicity to displays for
kids; administrative frame would possibly have to manipulate on adversely. It’s however crucial to do not
forget that to address this nation of affairs, on line getting to know must run an opportunity. However, there
unit sure measures people will fee extra relatively to assure kids do not care. It’s crucial to do not forget that
kids among 18-24 months should not be uncovered to virtual media aside from occasional video chatting.” -
The Forbes

4. To most effective 1 hour on a typical of first-rate programming. The significance of educational diploma
institutional environment cannot be overemphasized as soon as one thinks of on line coaching. Even as soon
as the establishments perform sub-optimally, college students themselves manufacture educational diploma
environment that aid their increase virtuously, socially and intellectually in conversations and interactions
with one another. Internet mode of coaching completely forecloses this chance. The better pathology destiny
that COVID-19 can provide but isn't always completely bleak.

If we have got were given a bent to appear such loads are hard sufficient into our postsecondary post-
pandemic landscape, we have got were given a bent to unit prepared to glimpse a few motives for optimism.
Obscurity is that the top pathology post-COVID-19 destiny as effective or as captivating as in the realm of
coaching and getting to know.

Research Gap

Now that the entire pandemic situation is being contained and consequently the arena is slowly but more and
more approaching direction and the entirety is re-opening, however the longer term stays unknown to world.
The possibilities of technology are nevertheless unknown to humanity. Particularly inside the 12 months
2020 we have got were given witnessed the affect of generation and the manner plentiful guy has indulged
in internet to scale back his ennui, laptop sport is slowly becoming a benevolent chance. The interplay with
one individual thru the medium of AI and fast-evolving generation is truly a bit step of inside the destiny.
The possibilities of the internet are limitless that it makes one confound with imbroglio outcomes. Whereas
it is in nature of guy to be dogmatically unorthodox toward modification, but if modification are frequently
added with consolation and excellent then society might probable start to simply receive the employment of
generation even inside the maximum day by day refrain in their style. The use and application of pedagogy
for on line schooling would possibly rely upon the publicity to information and generation (ICT) for every
educator and for that reason the learners style of the internet systems used thus far consist of unified verbal
8
exchange and collaboration systems like Microsoft Teams, Google room, Canvas and flat solid, which
permit the teachers to create educational courses, training and expertise improvement programmers. They
encompass alternatives of geographic factor chat, video assembly and document garage that preserve classes
prepared and easy to work. They typically assist the sharing of a variety of content material like Word, PDF,
Excel document, audio, movies and lots of additional.

With such prospects in hand we have a propensity to location unit nevertheless blind to what moderately
impinge end result it's going to put on U.S. the following evaluation paper specializes in a manner to
undertaking on line gaining knowledge of amidst the uncertain destiny that lies beforehand or even underlies
the various prospects of on line mode of gaining knowledge of even put up pandemic amount.

Objective of the study

 To provide a brief understanding of online education during and post covid pandemic in India.

 To identify and address the challenges and problems faced by the online mode of learning.
 To address the choice and opinion of students between online and offline education.
 To project a future where online education will be the primary mode of academic life.

Research Methodology

Based on previous research, the current study has developed a survey instrument. The nature of the research
methodology is experimental. All items used a 5point Liker scale ranging from 1 to 5 from “strongly
disagree” to “strongly agree. The research used a quantitative approach; the survey was conducted through
the GOOGLE form; the links were shared with the student through the WhatsApp group of lecturers. Mostly
graduate and undergraduate students from St. Xavier’s College and other universities of Calcutta have
participated in the survey. The convenience sampling technique was used. A cross section study was
conducted to gather data of students enrolled in different field of study (B.com, B.A, B.Sc, Engineering and
Medical) to obtain data on student’s academic needs in these times of crisis and how learning from e-
platforms was affecting their academic work. The students of undergraduate _and Postgraduate _ have
participated in the online survey conducted from March to April 2021. Students gave their consent to
participate in the study by completing the survey.  In the demographic analysis, the ‘gender’ factor showed
that female participants have a more response rate of _as compared to _who were male. In the survey we can
see that participation of male students is more in comparison to female. Regarding the ‘age group’ of
9
respondents, data revealed that the majority was having the age-group of respondents 21–30 years 212
(75.7) Most of the students who have participated in the survey already have an experience in regard to the
procedure of filling and submitting a Google forms. Given the fact that not all students and faculty are
familiar with distance learning and that some students do not have ready access to Wi-Fi, and are essential
workers, the purpose of the study was to:

(i) Identify the challenges students were facing with their academic work as a result
of COVID-19;
(ii) Taking the necessary and appropriate steps to address the challenges
(iii) Identify the positive aspects of the on-line transition as a result of COVID-19.

Data Analysis and findings

The above diagram portrays the name of candidates who have participated in the survey which was
conducted from mid-March to mid-April. The candidates comprise mostly of students pursuing their
undergraduate course.

10
11
From the
above pie-chart we can draw the conclusion that almost 83.7% of the participating candidates have used
one form of e-learning platform or another after the covid-19 pandemic on 2020.

Almost 87.7% of the candidates- 40.8% agree and 46.9% strongly agrees to the fact that e-learning
platforms like skillshare, udemy have helped them to learn relevant knowledge and has also helped them
to acquire new skills which has enhanced their ability in their field of respective work.
12
From the
data it is evident that more than half, that is 67.3% of people has chosen the online mode of education
amidst the pandemic situation. 24.5% people have chosen offline mode of education and 8.2% of
candidates have opted for a combination of both i.e. e-learning and mode of actual classes.

The above
histogram depicts the reason behind candidates choosing the online mode of education. Reasons like easy
access to learning, convenience has scored an average of 3.1%, comfort-ability has scored 6.7% and safety
has the highest % score of 36.7%.

13
Similarly
the above diagram depicts the reason behind candidates choosing offline mode education amidst the
pandemic. Almost every individual has a distinct and separate option from others which can’t be
integrated together, however the only point which has been agreed by more than one candidate is that-“ In
offline education at least we can interact with teachers and students and study together, but in online
education there are a lot of flaws like network issues, if 4 or more people are talking the audio crashes, etc”.
The only drawback in online education is that one-to-one person communication through a digital platform
is still not adapted by many individuals.

The above
questionnaire tests the effectiveness of the two modes of education (online and offline). More than half of
the participating candidates i.e. 59.2% have opted for online mode of education as a better medium of
learning which has helped to retain more material of study than in comparison to offline mode of education.
This is evident as less than half on the total participating candidates i.e. 40.8% of the candidates has opted
for the other alternative i.e. offline mode of education.

14
The above diagram of the questionnaire asked focuses on the reach and the wide application of the online
mode of education used, especially during times of pandemic. As it is evident from the diagram above that
83.7% of the participating candidates have used one or the other form of online education platforms these
could include platforms like udemy, unacademy etc. Thus we could conclude that most people have found
one way or another to engage themselves in some form of e-learning experience, especially during the
pandemic when most of the world was in complete lockdown.

The next questionnaire focuses on making online education more innovative so that more people could find
it more user-friendly and can use it, as we can see that nearly 85.7% of people agrees on the fact that making
online learning fun and effective through the use of many other application is crucial in paving a future,
where online teaching applications like Google meet, Microsoft teams etc becomes the primary tools for
15
teaching.
The above diagram related questionnaire is used to draw a comparison between online the offline mode of
comparison in regards to tediousness. Almost 75.5% of students i.e.(51% agrees and 24.5% strongly agrees
that the traditional mode of teaching is monotonous in comparison to the mode of education offered by other
Ed-tech like skillshare, shine-projects, etc. Thus we can purport that there is a need for change in the
traditional method of learning.

The above questionnaire focuses on the mental aspect of shifting from offline to online mode of education
and how far the online mode of teaching has helped students to better cope with their academic life also it
also it targets on the psychological effect which the pandemic has caused and how online mode of education
can be a breakthrough in dealing in dealing with such psychological aspects. Almost 73.6% of students
(42.9% Agrees and 36.7% Strongly Agrees) are on the agreeing side of the matter online mode of education
has helped them in one way or another to better present themselves in their academic life and also given
them a boost in confidence. Thus we can conclude that online mode of education can be a breakthrough in
dealing with the psychological effects of caused due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

16
A major
criticism revolving around e-learning is that it causes social isolation i.e. a condition defined as the absence
of relationships with family or friends on an individual level, and with society on a broader level. Generally
this absence or weakness indicates whether the person is socially isolated or not. 61.2% of candidates
disagrees to the fact that e-learning causes social isolation and 20.4% candidates agrees to the fact. We can
thus claim that e-learning being the reason behind causing social isolation is a canard claim.

The above
questionnaire focuses on the communication-skill development aspect in e-learning i.e. those abilities that
one uses when giving and receiving different kind of information. In this regard it refers to the
communication between the student and teacher conducted through the e-learning platforms such as
Microsoft teams, Google meet etc. 42.5% of the student disagrees that they find communication gap
between them and the teachers. A total estimate of nearly 44.9% (28.6% Agrees and 16.3% Strongly
Agrees) using e-learning platforms agrees that it causes a communication gap between them and the
teaching faculty members. The human mind is always in a need to communicate their thoughts and ideas to
another person, no matter how much technology advances in the near future whether it will be able to
conduct our thoughts and ideas transparently and translucently through digital platforms is a debatable
matter.

17
The next questionnaire also revolves around one of the disadvantages surrounding e-learning. Many a time’s
reviews and feedback are limited from the student’s perspective. As we can see and conclude from the above
data that nearly 44.9% of the participating candidates of the candidates agrees that feedback is limited from
their perspective in e-learning mode of education. Due to the lack of face-to-face communication between
students and teachers in an online setting, the students might find that they are unable to work effectively in
a team setting. Neglecting the communicational skills of the students will inevitably lead to many graduates
who excel in theoretical knowledge, but who fail to pass their knowledge on to others.

The next
questionnaire focuses on the practicability of e-learning platforms and whether the students find it easy to
use and access such platforms. 63.3% of the candidates and reported to find zero difficulty in using and
accessing such platforms making it user friendly and convenient to use. The remaining 18.4% Strongly
Disagrees to the statement also.

18
The next
question also focuses on the practicability and convenience of the e-learning settings. On a scale from-
Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree 40.8% of candidates agrees and 38.8% strongly agrees that using e-
learning has helped them to manage time much better. Making e-learning a much better tool for time
management.

The above
diagram related questionnaire is used to draw a comparison between online the offline mode of comparison
in regards to tediousness. In comparison to the traditional mode of teaching, the new e-learning mode of
learning is found to be more effective as on a scale from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree 57.1% of
students have disagreed to the above questionnaire indicating that e-learning is less monotonous in
comparison to the traditional mode of learning.

19
The above
questionnaire is to the influence of e-learning and how much it can keep its audience engaged in the learning
process. More than half of the participating candidates i.e. 57.1% of them find e-learning experience to be
interactive. Thus from the above pie-chart we can draw the statement that overall e-learning keeps its
audience engaged by bringing an overall interactive experience for them.

The above
histogram depicts the reason behind candidates choosing the online mode of education. Almost each and
every candidate out of the 57.1% has a separate reason for choosing online mode of education. However,
the reasons which have been common among the individuals are- “Technology helps to increase our creativity”

20
(8.32%) and “Innovation” (8.32%)

The above histogram depicts the reason behind candidates choosing the online mode of education. Almost
each and every candidate out of the 42.9%% has a separate reason for choosing online mode of education.
However, the reasons which have been common among the individuals are- “The time limit on the e-
learning is very much in modicum amount than the traditional mode of teaching” (15.4%).

Summary of Findings

Thus to summarize our analysis in accordance to our objectives we can say that during the pandemic nearly
83.7% have used one or the other form of e-learning platforms and after or post pandemic nearly 85% of the
participating users have used or continued to use their e-learning experience. So far the most debatable
drawback or challenges faced by the online mode of teaching are:-

 It’s usually considered to be monotonous in comparison to the traditional mode of teaching

 It’s usually considered to cause social isolation.
 Lack of communication between student and teacher
 Feedback being limited from the students perspective

However, as per the data 57.1% of the participating candidates disagree to the fact that e-learning is
monotonous in nature in another study it was found that of a scale from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree
nearly 51% of the participating candidates Agree and 20.4% of the candidates Strongly Agree to the fact that
they find the traditional mode of teaching to be more monotonous in comparison the upcoming futuristic
mode of teaching through technology.

61.2% of the participating candidates have disagreed to the fact that online teaching causes social isolation
and a mere 32.6% of the candidates are on the agreeable side of the matter. The only real problems which
have been found to be agreed by the majority of the candidates are the fact that there is a lack of

21
communication between the students and teacher in online mode of teaching and feedback being limited.
44.9% of the candidates have agreed to that there is a lack of communication between students and teacher
in e-learning and also nearly 51.5% of the students are on the agreeable side of the statement that feedback is
limited from the student’s perspective.

Thus from the analysis of the data in it is clear that the majority of the candidates are in support of the online
mode as a better teaching tool in comparison to the traditional mode of teaching. An approximate of nearly
79.76% is in favor of online mode of as the future of their academic life. 67.3% of people have chosen the
online mode of education amidst the pandemic situation. 24.5% people have chosen offline mode of
education and 8.2% of candidates have opted for a combination of both i.e. e-learning and mode of actual
classes. Also even in the future if another pandemic were to be witnessed again, statistically data shows
that online education is the more preferred option than the offline mode of education the major reason
being safety.

Thus to conclude we can say that the use of online teaching was in practice even prior to covid-19
practice, however it was only after the pandemic that we have seen a huge rise in its application and
majority of the participating candidates view it as their primary tool of learning in the near future.

We have to test the hypothesis H0 :µ = 50/100 against H1 : µ ≠ 12

The value of the test statistic

t at 5% level of significance and 8% of freedom as per table is 1.86 and we are getting the value 2.38.

⸫ The calculated value is greater than the tabulated value at 5% level of significance which tells us to accept
H1 and reject H0 and conclude that online education services is accepted than offline educational services.

⸫ The statement- Online education system during and post- covid-19 pandemic situation has major effect on
the student’s academic life is true and we accept the alternative hypothesis.

Conclusion

It is evident from the data that there has been a huge shift from the traditional method of learning to the e-
learning mode especially admits the pandemic. The data portrays a future, where even after the pandemic
comes to an end people will most likely use e-learning as their primary tool in academics. The main
limitation faced in e-learning is the face-to-face interaction among the students and teachers which play a
psychological factor in their way of understanding and perceiving things. In order to project a future for e-
learning it is crucial to address the psychological impacts of technology in the life of humanity.

Lack of communicational talent improvement in on line college students-E-Learning techniques is

confirmed to be fantastically powerful at enhancing the instructional information of the college students.
Cheating prevention in the course of on line exams is complicated-Unfortunately; certainly considered one
among the most important negative aspects of E-Learning is still dishonest thru diverse techniques. E-
Learning lacks face-to-face communiqué. A loss of any type of face-to-face communiqué with the trainer
inhibits pupil feedback, reasons social isolation, and will reason college students to sense a loss of
pressure.
