PROGRAMME: B.(Tech.) IT SEMESTER V

COURSE: Software Engineering

Practical Experiment: 1

Aim: To write an elaborate problem statement for <case study name>

Prerequisite:
1. Basic understanding of functionality for the system to be designed

Outcome: After successful completion of this experiment students will be able to

1. Understand the system to be developed clearly from the aspect of its functionality
to its implementation and deployment.
2. Understand the importance of writing down a good problem statement for the
project under development.

Procedure:
1) Understand the main scope of the project.
2) List down the various functionalities and check their feasibility.
3) Prepare a brief problem statement describing the system to be developed.

Conclusion: Problem statement for the system being developed

In today’s world we are observing growth in Augmented reality in applications like Instagram and snapchat
that have elevated the creative side of things through, filters and games. With this project we intend to delve
into the more salient yet crucial applications of this software in fields like Science and Engineering. AR
overlays the computer-generated sensory signals on the real world allowing the user to experience a rich
juxtaposition of the virtual and the real worlds simultaneously. Our goal is to is to create an application
which aides’ engineering students to better understand CAD, navigation, HMDs, embedded systems,
software development tutorials, etc. Not only practicing engineers but also the general public can be made
more aware of advances in the field using the creative touch of AR. It concluded that AR made an important
contribution to the concretization of abstract concepts and the developed educational material increased the
motivation of the students.
