LOCAL MUSIC SCHOOL PERSISTS IN THE MIDST OF PANDEMIC

LEANDER, Texas – Leander’s HitMaker Music School is the epitome of hope and resilience. In the midst
of a worldwide pandemic, HitMaker Music School, established in 2013, has opened the doors to their
brand new, custom-designed, health-first facility. The school is open 6 days a week and provides a
Flexible Music Plan, which allows students to choose in-person or online music lessons on a weekly
basis. Currently, over 250 students are attending lessons. Now, the school has space for even more
students to learn music.

The school is conveniently located in Leander, TX at E. Crystal Falls Pkwy btw 183A and Ronald
Reagan Blvd, next to Texas Humane Heroes. With rolling enrollment, students of all ages can start
learning music at any time during the year. With over 20 teachers, students are matched with a fun
and patient teacher that is right for their individual learning style. Students can learn fun and
challenging music and can choose the music they want to play! Lessons are one-on-one with an
instructor, which makes scheduling easy for busy parents. Address: 1640 Highland Falls Dr, Suite 201,
Leander, TX 78641.

Owner Mike Irene, graduate of Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts, had a dream of providing
outstanding music lessons to the burgeoning community of Leander. “Our new location is the most
convenient location available for students coming from Leander, Liberty Hill, Cedar Park, Round
Rock, Georgetown and Austin, TX. We will still have about 45% of our students taking lessons online,
but this new location really is our flagship and we’re excited to offer in-person lessons with safety
measures that go above and beyond.”

HitMaker Music School has always prioritized safety for students, including well-lit rooms with
windows and security cameras in every room, as well as outside of the building. The new location
goes above and beyond with new health and safety upgrades. The HVAC system has return air vents in
every room & UV-C germicidal lights installed in the ducts to disinfect the air. “It’s obvious that
providing the absolute safest environment possible is critical,” says owner Mike Irene. “We
researched the best possible practices for safety and implemented them, plus more.” The HVAC fans
will be running 100% of the time to frequently cycle air. “We took the opportunity to add features to
the building that have been used in the medical and food industries for several years.”

In addition to social distancing, required masks, and disinfectant, the school will restrict foot traffic
with lessons by-appointment only. Each room has a HEPA air purifier with contained UV-C light and
piano rooms have two pianos, to reduce close contact for students and teacher. Mirrors are installed
in the corner of the room(s), so singers and flute players can face away from instructors, but still
receive top quality, personal instruction. It’s clear that HitMaker Music School has prioritized safety
for all students and staff.

Other upgrades include insulation between interior walls for improved acoustics and a superior sound
blocking sheetrock, called “Quiet Rock.” Each room also has a solid core door. These features help to
create a focused learning environment for students and teachers alike. To get started with lessons at
