CRITICAL THINKING

1. The extent to which an assessment tool measures what it was supposed

to measure, without being contaminated by other features, is its validity.
Because the results of the LET came out, the review coordinator found
that scores in the simulated examination are not significantly correlated
with the LET scores. However the results satisfy the objectives.
2. As I have wrote on the first situation validity measures what it was
designed to measure, this situation the test was developed to measure
students’ knowledge of Biology. Furthermore the test was given to the
sophomores: those specializing in Social Studies and those already
majoring in Biological Science. So it’s clearly validity because it measures
the knowledge of both.
3. The degree to which an evaluation method or instrument measures the
student's performance consistently is referred to as reliability. Scores
from 100 Grade 7 students were obtained from a November
administration of a test in Filipino about panghalip na panao or personal
pronouns. The results were consistent therefore it is realibility.
