IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
5. HOW MANY PHASES ARE THERE IN CSR AND WHAT ARE THEY?
Today the concept of corporate social responsibility is firmly
rooted on the global business agenda. There are many
obstacles need to be overcome. Organizations must realize
that government alone will not be able to get success in its
endeavor to uplift the downtrodden of society. There is a
need to increase the understanding and active participation
of business in equitable social development as an important
FINDINGS AND part of good business practice. A key challenge facing
business is the need for more reliable indicators of progress in
CONCLUSIONS the field of CSR, along with the dissemination of CSR
strategies. It is generally found that the degree of CSR
activities of companies should depend upon their business size
and profile. Non-governmental organizations and
Government agencies generally possess a constricted
viewpoint towards the CSR activities of companies. Lack of
transparency is another issue which needs to be bring in focus
it should not be ignored that the ancient Indian texts are the
true originators of good business governance. CSR in the right
perspective in order to facilitate and create an enabling
environment for equitable partnership between the civil
society and business CSR-focused businesses should
proactively promote the public interest by encouraging
community growth and development, and voluntarily
eliminating practices that harm the public, regardless of
legality.
