ABSTRACT:

1.INTRODUCTION:

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) incorporated
in the year 1999 was a public sector enterprise operating under the aegis of the
Government of India. IRCTC was managing the catering, tourism and online ticketing
operations for the Indian Railways. Since this system is not properly organized and
hard for the users to use, we are trying to make this website more usable. We have got
50 responses from various user.By using the FIGMA TOOL we are going to find a
solution for the betterment of the IRCTC interface. This interface will allow you to book
trains, traick trains, check seat availability and so on.

FIGMA TOOL:

FIGMA turns the ideas into Products faster. We could Design, Prototype, and gather
feedback all in one place with FIGMA. FIGMA is a cloud-based design tool that is
similar to Sketch in functionality and features, but with big differences that make
FIGMA better for TEAM COLLABORATION. It works on any operating system that runs a
web browser. Macs, Windows PCs, Linux machines, and even Chrome books can be
used in FIGMA.
FEATURES OF FIGMA:

1. Simple solution for prototyping.

2. Edit and transform ideas instantly.
3. Designed for digital transformation.
4. From design to development.
5. Made for stronger teams.
6. Amazing support.
7. Stronger communication.

Hence, based on the above features of the FIGMA TOOL , we have analyzed that this

ANALYSIS AND REVIEW:

 From the survey we conducted we analyzed that most of the people are IRCTC
users. They most often visit our website for travelling purposes and it’s much
user friendly to passengers.

 From our analyses we came to know that most of the people don’t know about
this service, they probably face many problems in booking their ticket.

 So there is necessity of spreading awareness by explaining them about the

features and facilities of our service through advertisements and social media.

 By the considering all the survey results we will ensure to improve the features
further.

 Secure authentication should be provided to every individual login.

 Providing services by considering all corns of the people and we will enhance
the features of the website.
3. REVIEW 2:

REQUIREMENTS GATHERING:
Requirements elicitation (also known as Requirements Gathering or Capture) is the
process of generating a list of requirements (functional, system, technical, etc.) from
the various stakeholders (customers, users, vendors, IT staff, etc.) that will be used as
the basis for the formal Requirements Definition.

TECHNIQUES USED IN REQUIREMENTS GATHERING:

1. Interviews 2.Questionnaires

1.User Observation

2.Workshops 5.Brainstorming 6.Role Playing

7.Use Cases & Scenarios 8.Prototyping

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
A software requirements specification is a description of a software system to be
developed. Also known as a stakeholder requirements specification (StRS). The
software requirements specification lays out Functional and Non-Functional
Requirements, and it may include a set of

use cases that describe user interactions that the software must provide.
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A functional requirement defines a function of a system or its component, where a
function is described as a specification of behavior between outputs and inputs.
Functional Requirements

may involve calculations, technical details, data manipulation and processing, and
other specific functionality that define what a system is supposed to accomplish.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR IRCTC INTERFACE:

1.A user should be able to search for a train using its name or train number.
2.A user should be able to apply filters like general, ladies, tatkal, etc.
3.A user should be able to check the live status of the train to be aware of
the timing.

4.The plan for implementing functional requirements is detailed in the

system design.

Features :

This has four important features:

-Train details

-Reservatio

-Live status

-Seat availability REQUIREMENTS:

NON-FUNCTIONAL

A Non-Functional requirement is also known as “quality requirements” which impose

constraints on the design or implementation such as performance requirements,
security, or reliability

NON-FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR IRCTC INTERFACE:

1. Interface should be responsive: searching and browsing should instantly bring up
results of
trains and details.
1.Tracking should be a smooth experience: users should be able to track the trains

without interruption.

2.Carrying out functions should be intuitive and obvious to all users.

3.The plan for implementing non-functional requirement is detailed in system
architecture.

PROTOTYPE:

A prototype is an early sample, model, or release of a product built to test a concept or

process or to act as a thing to be replicated or learned from. It is a term used in a
variety of contexts, including semantics, design, electronics, and software
programming.

A prototype is generally used to evaluate a new design to enhance precision by system

analysts and users. Prototyping serves to provide specifications for a real, working
system rather than a theoretical one. In some design workflow models, creating a
prototype (a process sometimes called materialization) is the step between the
formalization and the evaluation of an idea.

Here, the prototyping of the IRCTC USER INTERFACE is done using the AdobeXD TOOL.

AdobeXD:

Adobe XD is a vector based tool used for designing and prototyping user experience for
web and
other all mobile apps . The software is available for macOS, windows , iOS and Android.

Features of this Adobe XD includes :

Grid : This allows users to duplicate items such as lists and photogalleries

Prototype : Allows users to create animated prototypes through linking the artboards.

Animations: Art boards are able to be animated and can be Integrated and also many
other advanced options are available in this Adobe XD.

PROJECT TITLE – BEWAKOOF - ONLINE SHOPPING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION :

Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly

buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser. Consumers
find a product of interest by visiting the website of the retailer directly or by searching
among alternative vendors using a shopping search engine, which displays the same
product's availability and pricing at different e-retailers
GUIDELINES
1. Keep navigation simple and functional :

Think about your own user experience when you visit a website , are we more likely to
purchase if we can easily find what we’re looking for or if we have to click through 50
options?

Complexity have a chance in decrease of customers. Excess clicks and menus or

categorization
are annoying to shoppers. Make your menus and navigation options simple.
1. Use clear error indications at check out :
Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to make a purchase and not being
able to figure out why. If this happens, your potential customer could go for other
online shopping sites which are avaliable a lot now.

That said, make your error messages clear. Relay to your customer in clear, direct
language what
it is they need to do. Make those messages easy to see by using red, highlighted yellow,
or even blinking text to increase the error text’s visibility.

Also, place the error message directly above or next to the specific item(s) that requires
correction. There’s nothing worse than a blanket error message at the top of the page
that leaves

someone guessing. So, make sure errors are being indicating correctly to the customers.
1. Make sure your load time is fast:
Did you know that 25 percent of Web users abandon a Web page if it takes more than
four seconds to load . Mobile users are slightly more patient (what does that say
about mobile carrier

performance?).Three of five people won’t return to a site they abandon due to slow
load times. Time is money and consumers are not a patient breed. All it takes is mere
seconds to lose a sale. So make sure you’re working with a good, reliable hosting
company; your success depends on their performance.

1. Automate your search:

Finally, make sure to include a search feature on your site. Some people will come to
you knowing exactly what that they want and, if they can’t find it within seconds, are
likely to abandon your site.

Upgrade your search feature to have auto-complete functionality. This is the

functionality Google uses, for example, to finish your sentence before you have typed it.
Not only does it make it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for, but it also
gives you sales potential by suggesting things within the arena in which they are
already searching.

DRAWBACKS
The draw backs in this design (as in our perspective) :

 The images and the boxes are all correctly arranged but as this the online
shopping system we can add more colours to the webpage which will be more
attractive for the users where they feel more satisfactory by seeing vivid colours
used in the portal and also we should have the correct choice in choosing
colours . So, adding little more colours for sites like online shopping systems
would be a good idea.
In this sites like online shopping sites , customers should feel that they are ordering
the right product for themselves like they should have a image in their mind of
what they are buying itmeans for a certain product it should have an option to
zoom in and zoom out . So, that customers feel they are taking a good choice and
also they feel secured while paying the amount when receiving their product.
 The site can be little more innovative because people out there have many
options for shopping online . So, they except the site to be different from others
in ways of innovation . This gen people get attracted to the way the standards
of the technology used.

So, maintaining the site innovated for such sites could bring us buyers from all over
5. Conclusion:
To Conclude with IRCTC Interface systems provide a mechanism for implementing
systems where a high degree of integration between applications is required. To
Successfully implement the right mix of people, process and technology should be
maintained. An solution consists of internal and external management information
within the organisation. The main function of the solution is to expedite the flow of
information across all business operations. Ways in which it can benefit the
organisation are: · Better integrated management - this solution allows its users to
conjoin diverse parts of the business into one single programme enabling managers to
gain access to an intelligible database which consists of figures, orders, invoices and
client information. This solution allows its users to update changes and implement
those changes in real time; in addition all the information is stored accurately without
it getting lost across spread sheets and other applications. · Save time and money -
One of the key advantages of a solution is that it can help managers to identify and
reduce downtime; the solution can significantly reduce the costs involved in
administrative errors and inventory. Communication throughout all departments is
made a lot easier as it’s easy to exchange information across all levels. The cost of
supporting large data centers can also be cut down. · Reduced operating costs – The
solution endeavors to merge all business channels into a single enterprise information
system. The core advantage of this function is that it allows organizations to improve
their business processes across all departments while increasing their organizational
efficiency. This solution can significantly reduce operating costs, inventory and control
costs as well as reduce marketing and help desk support cost. · Assist day to day
activity’s - The other advantage of adopting this solution is that management have
fast and easy access to all information they require in order to make better decisions.
