Parts required:
Skirt segments (check that you are using the correct type)
Skirt d-clips (3 per skirt segment)

Tools Required:
Flat screwdriver
Hammer
Sidecutters

Safety wear to use:

Details:
• The Hov Pod skirt consists of 65 segments of 4 types (see TIS 3.1). Each
segment is attached to the aluminium bumper strip which runs around the
perimeter of the craft, and to a pair of ‘P’ clips on the underside of the hull
(Figure 1). Each skirt has its type stencilled inside (Figure 2).
• Removing a segment
Peel up the rubber bumper strip above the segment to replace. Cut the cable
ties securing the bottom of the segment to its p-clips. NOTE: each segment
shares p-clips with the segments on either side, make sure that you cut the
correct cable ties.
Using the screwdriver, gently prise off the D-clips holding the top of the skirt to
the rail. You can now remove the segment.
• Replacing a segment
Check you have the correct segment type. Locate the top of the segment
(Figure 3).
Spread the top edge flat and fold it over the aluminium rail, making sure that it
overlaps the segments on each side (Figure 5). Fix it in place using three D-
clips fitted with the ‘D’ facing outwards (Figure 6).
Pass a cable tie through each of the loops in the bottom of the segment and
secure them to the appropriate p-clips (Figure 7). Trim the ends of the cable ties
(Figure 8). Replace the bumper strip and tap it into position.
