EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
TradiDulu is a clothing rental services based in Shah Alam, Selangor offers rental
services of high quality used and pre-loved traditional attire and costumes that comprises
every known culture in Asia including; Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, China,
Korean and Japan. TradiDulu was located in Jalan Sinaria 3 Bandar Tropicana Aman.
TradiDulu is applied partnership business structure that is owned by three owners. Major
special factor of TradiDulu rental services is that we provide high quality traditional apparels
to be rent with extremely affordable compare to any rental apparel’s boutiques.
The main target customer of TradiDulu consist of foreigner and guest of special
occasion and events. Now days, events and function usually held with traditional and cultural
theme, so there is an increasing need among the guest of the events that needed to rent
and wear these traditional attires according to the theme. In order to reach out to the
potential customers, TradiDulu utilized the online social media platform, Facebook to
promote the services and products because the platform seems to be reliable and efficient
way to connect with the customers. TradiDulu Facebook pages also used as channels to
communicate between the customers and WhatsApp application have been integrated with
the Facebook page to make it easier for customers to communicates with TradiDulu. There
are also significance partners that TradiDulu have relationship with that act as our main
supplier of used and pre-loved traditional and also, we partnered with courier services in
order to act as our strategic delivery services that we have offered to the customers.
In addition, the main inputs of TradiDulu consist of physical and human resources.
Physical resources of TradiDulu includes the physical store of TradiDulu, clothing racks,
cash register machines, printers, computers and electronics appliance and cleaning supplies
that used to clean the attires. Human resources consist of the staff of TradiDulu that
comprises few departments within the business itself. The aspects of Strength, Weakness,
Opportunities and Threats of the company also have been assessed thoroughly by using
SWOT Analysis tools.

1.1.1 Business Structure of TradiDulu
The business structure for TradiDulu specifies who owns the business, how earnings
are divided, and which management are in charge of certain responsibilities. It is also
required for tax and liability considerations, since the firm would be taxed differently
depending on its structure, and managers and owners will have varying levels of
responsibility in the case of wrongdoing or a lawsuit.

TradiDulu is partnership owns business that owns by three owners. The partners
share responsibility for the company's management as well as any profits or losses
generated by the business. The profits from the business are distributed to the partners,
who can deduct them from their personal tax returns. A partnership, unlike corporations,
is not taxed separately on its profits and losses.
3. Corporation
An LLC allows owners of TradiDulu to get the benefits of both the corporation and
the partnership business forms. In most cases, LLCs secure each of the owner personal
assets or to be precise the owner’s car, property, and savings accounts, from personal
liability.

TradiDulu Work Scope;
Owner of TradiDulu
The owner of TradiDulu company will guide all the staff. The owner is in charge
of overseeing every operation and activity that takes place in the TradiDulu business on
a daily basis, from sales to business operations. The owner is also accountable for
making reasonable decisions that will help the business succeed.
Finance Department
Finance department are responsible for managing all the financial in TradiDulu
company. This department are required to manage the profit of the business, salaries,
utilities, budgets and business capital.
This department are required to manage stocks and acquire cloths from buyer
and supplier. Other than that, this department also responsible to find a good product in
order to meet the standards that have been set by the owner which is the cloths must be
in a good condition.

1.1.3 Product and Services of TradiDulu
A product is a tangible object that is placed on the market for purchase, attention, or
consumption, whereas a service is an intangible item that results from the efforts of one or
more people. TradiDulu offers renting service of traditional men and women attires that
comprises various Asian known culture.
Malay men's traditional costume is called baju Melayu, and it consists of a loose
tunic paired with slacks and a sarong known as sampin. Men also wear a traditional cap
known as a songkok. Baju Melayu is commonly worn at the Eid al-Fitr Festival,
weddings, and ceremonies. Women's traditional wear is baju kurung, which consists of a
knee-length, full-sleeved top and a long skirt called kain. One side of the skirt is pleated.
This outfit is generally paired by a head scarf.

The Vietnamese Ao Dai, a long gown worn with trousers by Vietnamese men and
women, has become a symbol of Vietnamese feminine beauty and national pride. It is a
long, tight-fitting silk garment with long sleeves worn over long slacks. It was worn at
important events such as marriages, funerals, and Tet festivals.
iv. Thailand
Thailand's traditional costume is known as Chut Thai. For women, they wear
chakkri. Chakkri is a long tube skirt with two front pleats. Sabai, a beautiful shawl-like
upper garment that wraps around the upper torso and trails to the ground on one side. It
only covers one shoulder. Chut Thai chakkri fabric is frequently manufactured using a
traditional weaving technique known as yok, which results in a thicker finish.

Hanbok is the Korean people's traditional dress. The overall structure of the
hanbok consists of the jeogori and chima for women and the jeogori and baji for men.
Hanbok are the ceremonial clothes worn by modern Koreans at Korean holidays or
special events.
vii. Chinese
Chinese men wear their traditional dress called tang suit. Tang suit is a style of
floral jacket with a collar and a knot at the waist. Changshan is also worn by Chinese
men. They are known for the flawless silk fabric. Cheongsam is a silk one-piece dress
with a collar and clasps at the waist, either in the centre or on the side, worn by Chinese
women. The cheongsam is a sheath dress with a high cylindrical collar, side slits, and an
asymmetrical front opening that extends from the centre of the collar to the armpit and
down the side.

1.2 PROBLEM STATEMENT
Today, people tend to hold a special ceremony to celebrates special occasions and
events such as weddings ceremony, birthdays and all sort of party with themes. Themed
party usually acquired the guests to wear extravagant and special attire and costumes
according to the party’s theme such as Bollywood Night where the guest is required to wear
saree and sherwani to the party. In order to acquire this traditional attire, the guests are
required to purchase the costumes and these attires usually expensive in price because of
the quality and design of the costumes. People usually intends to rents the attires from
boutiques that offers rental services but rental costs are not much different compare to
buying the new expensive traditional costumes.
The main purposes of Business Model Canvas (BMC) preparation are BMC could act
as a major strategic management tool to quickly and easily define and communicate a
business idea or concept. It is a one graphic document which works through the fundamental
elements of a business or product, constructing an idea during a very coherent way. The
BMC focuses on the customer which is external and business from internal. Both external
and internal factors meet around the value proposition, which is that the exchange is all
important between your business and your customers. The rationale why we would prefer to
use it because to quickly draw a picture of what the thought entails, allows us to urge an
understanding of our business and to travel through the strategy of making connections
between what our idea then creates into a business. BMC also determines type of customer
decisions that will influence the overall managements of the business and services.

1.4 SWOT ANALYSIS (2 COMPETITORS)
Strengths and weakness are the internal factors to a company which are under the
company’s control and can be changed. Examples for these two internal factors are the
manpower, patents and intellectual property and more. in contrary, opportunities and threats
are the external factors which are happening outside of the company. The company can take
action in seizing the opportunities and protect the company from possible threats. For
example, competitors, customer shopping trends and more.
The SWOT analysis that has been conducted is between TradiDulu, Aron Nawi
Creations and Costumes Empires.

2.1.1 Value Propositions of TradiDulu
The designated rental price for the traditional attires and costumes by TradiDulu
are affordable for the customers. Considering that all the attires and costumes that
offered to be rent by the customers is actually was pre-loved and used clothes, the rental
price and rate was made affordable for the customers. Most boutiques that offered the
same attires rental services that available in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor have expensive
rental price considering that their attires are specially tailored and designed compared to
TradiDulu that provides pre-loved and used traditional costumes to the customers.

2.1.2 Key Partners of TradiDulu
Key partners define as the relationships that a company or firm developed with other
business or enterprises, governmental or non-consumers body that contributes in the
development of the company’s business model and growth. Key partners are absolutely
important and crucial in business as it helps a company to succeed in the areas or industries
that involved in the future.
i. Supplier Partnership
This company supply all different kind of traditional cloths around Asia. The
used cloths that in a good condition with affordable price for buyer can help
TradiDulu to gain more stocks from different type of traditional clothing that can be
made available for renting service.
The Borneo Bundle Cheap provide a traditional cloth from Japan, Korea,
Aussie and Canada. The special from making this company as a partner is this
company can provide a traditional Sarawak cloth that is hard to get yet the price is
reasonable.
Segong Handicraft
This clothing store provide a wide range of traditional Asian clothing. The
benefits are the TradiDulu company will receive a good quality of cloths with a
reasonable price that can save cost.

Lalamove
Lalamove has evolved into a strategic partner for organizations of all sizes
looking to address last-mile delivery challenges. TradiDulu companies from a variety
of sectors use Lalamove to scale and outsource delivery according on TradiDulu
company needs. Other than that, Lalamove also helps the TradiDulu customer to
receive the ordered cloths in a same day. This can ensure that all TradiDulu
customer can have a good service by using Lalamove as courier.

2.1.3 Key Activities of TradiDulu
Key activities are important things the business needs to do to run. Key activities are
the key things that organizations need to do in order to deliver the value propositions to
customers. Key activities include sales, operations, marketing, design, development, and
customer experience. Sales is concern on selling a product. Operations focus on production
of product and delivery services. Marketing is mainly on how to promoting a product in order
to generate the demand. Furthermore, Design purposely more on design new product.
Development is focus on developing the products and services. Finally, Customer
experience related on activities such as customer services, support and consultation.
TradiDulu main key activities are mostly focused on operations, with the company
focusing on providing traditional costume and attire rental services to customers.
TradiDulu guarantees that only high-quality traditional costumes will be delivered to
customers, ensuring that they are always delighted with the products. The cost of renting
the attires is reasonable and affordable for such high-quality attire.
TradiDulu also acquires collections from countries ranging from East Asia to
Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Korean, and Chinese and
more. TradiDulu is concerned with what customers desire and experience when they use
traditional customers and costume rental services, and they make certain that the quality
of the collection purchased is guaranteed good.

TradiDulu also promotes locals to wear traditional costumes from every known
East Asian and Southeast Asian culture in order to increase awareness about the
diversity of culture in Asia in Malaysia. TradiDulu is also provide guideline and
information for tourists to learn about Asian cultures and traditions.

2.1.4 Key Resources of TradiDulu
Key resources are assets that are essential to ensuring that the business model is
implemented properly according to plan. Key resources are very important for business
entrepreneurs to know whether such resources can provide additional demand and
investment to the company as it will affect the sustainability and profitability of the company
and business.
i. Physical resources
Physical resources refer to any tangible items that are used by a business owner
to help operate the business smoothly. For example, TradiDulu shop physical resources
include rented building, cameras and photography equipment, mannequins, clothing
racks and furniture, cash register counter and machine, printers, computers and
electronics, and cleaning supplies. With these physical resources, TradiDulu is able to
conduct the business as effective and efficient as possible, provide the best services and
keeping good relationships with the customers.
Human resources refer to anyone that works in the company. TradiDulu shop
consist of 3 owners and 5 employees that are proficient in their fields. There are 4
departments in TradiDulu shop which are finance department, acquisition and collection
department, customer service and marketing department and photography department.
In the finance department, the staff is a graduate of Bachelor of Business Administration
Financial and expert in managing the budgets, salaries and profits of the shop. Next, in
the acquisition and collection department, the staff manages the stock and distribution of
the clothes and are graduates of Bachelor of Business Administration Operations
Management and Bachelor of Business Administration Retail Management. Besides that,
in the customer service and marketing department, the staff is a graduate of Bachelor of
Business Administration Marketing and proficient in promoting and maintaining good
relationships with customers. Finally, in the photography department, the photography
staff is a graduate of Diploma in Photography and Creative Imaging and specializes in
taking and editing photos. All of the staff of TradiDulu are graduates from Universiti
Teknologi MARA.

2.1.5 Cost Structure of TradiDulu
One of the most important part of a business is the cost structure. Cost structure is
concerned with the types and relative proportions of fixed and variable costs and expenses
incurred by the business. There are two main categories of cost structure which are value-
driven and cost-driven. Value-driven is concerned with creating more value in the product
itself. On the other hand, cost-driven is concerned with focusing on minimizing the costs of
the product or service as much as possible.
In order to achieve a successful cost structure for a new business, it is vital for the
company to consider and evaluate the most important costs to the business. The company
will need to take into account both fixed and variable costs. Fixed cost is a company’s fixed
costs or expenses that remain the same whether the goods or services are produced or not.
In contrary, variable costs is concerned with the number of goods or services a company
produces. The costs either increases or decreases depending on the production volume.

i. Fixed Costs
For the fixed costs, it is concerned with fixed monthly expenses such as store
rental, telephone and Internet costs, employee salaries and marketing and advertising.
The amount that needs to be paid monthly for rental is RM1000. For the three owners of
the business, they will be paid RM1500 per month and for the other employees, they will
be paid RM1200 per month. For telephone and Internet costs, the expenses will be
around RM200. Lastly, for marketing and advertising, it will cost around RM100 per
month.
For the variable costs, it is concerned flexible or variable monthly expenses such
as products maintenance if any damages occurred on the apparels, new stocks coming
in from the suppliers, and utilities such as electricity and water expenses. For products
maintenance, it will cost around RM80. The expenses for products maintenance only
take place if there is any damage on the products. For new stocks of products, the
amount varies depending on the supplier which could be in between RM500 to RM1000.
Lastly, for the utilities or operating expenses such as electricity and water bills are
ranging from RM400 to RM500 per month.

2.1.6 Customer Relationships of TradiDulu
i. Social Media
TradiDulu have decided to use social media as a medium for us to maintain our
customer relationship. This is due to the number of people that frequently use the
social media a make it easier for us to be in touch with them. One of our social media
that we use is Facebook, this platform is undoubtedly on of the social media with the
high number of active users from wide range of age and places. Therefore, it is one of
the suitable platforms for us to create and maintain our customer relationship. From this
page, user can send a complaint or feedback through our personal message and our
customer services will be there to serve them. In addition, we also can monitor any post
that are related to our services thus, we can personally ask them if there are any
inconvenient while they are using our services. In addition, we can also see our
customer satisfaction from their post, since most user tend to express their
satisfaction/feeling through social media.

The next platform that we use for our customer relationship is through email.
Through this platform, the user can easily send their feedback or complaint privately
and gain respond faster. We often provide the email address on our business card and
our social media. Using this medium will give the professional looks on our company
while we can easily sort all the feedback that we gain from our customers. This will be
opened up the potential for use to enhance our services while maintaining the
relationship between the customer and our company. Keep in mind that successful
relationships are founded on making the other side feel valued. Therefore, we will
ensure that their feedback will be served as fast as possible.

2.1.7 Customer Segments of TradiDulu
Customer Segments is the key of external part in the business model canvas.
Customer segments can be defined as the particular groups of people or organizations that
a company aims to sell product or offer their services. Furthermore, customer segments can
be divided based on their specific needs, behaviour and traits and to make sure they can sell
their product or service effective and efficiently.
i. Tourist
For TradiDulu, the customer segments for our business are specifically for
customer who are tourist that need to find traditional attire with a low price and high
quality for ceremony guests. This is because traditional attire usually expensive and
some tourist does not prefer to buy the traditional clothes just because wanted to attend
for one event. TradiDulu offer a renting service to solve the problem. Plus, the attire that
we provide comes with a good condition so they can wear comfortably and they also can
acknowledge there are many types of traditional clothes from different cultures that was
provided by TradiDulu. For instance, if a tourist needs to find a cheongsam for exchange
culture event, they can rent our traditional clothes and it shows that they value the
beauty of a different cultural traditions. In addition, wearing proper clothes for special
occasion also give a feel that the guest is not out of place during the event. This is
because, the guest followed a theme that was stated in the invitation letter and they
respect the event by wearing right clothes especially for cultural traditional events.

ii. Special Occasion or Events Guests
First of all, each culture had their own culture tradition and they must be
respected because it gives a different approach to fundamental ideas in our society.
Therefore, different group or culture might be able to help our community learn
something new. Every culture must have their own events and TradiDulu can provide
clothes for people who are came from different culture that attend to the event. For
example, TradiDulu can prepare a booth or tent during the Hari Raya Festival for people
who wanted to try how it feels to wear traditional clothes such as Baju Melayu and Baju
Kurung and provide a photograph services for the customer if they wanted a picture for
memories. This show that special occasion or events really need a service such as
TradiDulu which is renting attire especially in traditional events to attract attention of the
customers.

2.1.8 Channels of TradiDulu
Channel describes the method and ways of communication that used and applied by
a company to communicated with their customers. Channels also considers as the touch
points through which an organization liaises with its customer. Channels are directly link with
customer relationship in order to reaches and targeted customer segments.
i. Facebook
Facebook has been one of the leading social media network or application for
more than since 2006. The application was founded by Mark Zuckerberg, an American
media proprietor, Internet entrepreneur and philanthropist. This online social media and
social networking service has been the people’s favourite due to its interesting features
that allows users to post text, pictures, and videos worldwide with friends and family.
TradiDulu utilise the Facebook Business Page in order to promote the business
and services, as well as its marketing strategy. The business can gain and reach
different audience through the Marketplace, which is a section or one of the interesting
features of Facebook, which allows potential buyers from all around the world,
specifically Malaysia citizens to post and promote different products. The customers of
TradiDulu were able to comment and message directly to TradiDulu for any inquiry
regarding our services.
