Being Famous
Being Famous
Being Famous
problems as well as benefits. Do you think that being a celebrity brings more
benefits or more problems?
It is generally believed that being famous is a good thing and this is usually a wish of
many people. Although there are some benefits of being a celebrity, I would argue that
there are more problems associated with fame.
Being famous can be beneficial in several ways. One of these is a high salary as many
celebrities such as film actors and actresses or sportspersons are known for their huge
earning. With a great amount of money, celebrities may be able to live a luxury,
comfortable life. Another benefit is that they have opportunities to travel to many places
for work. Travelling can help to enrich their life experiences.
However, there are many problems resulted in being famous. First, celebrities’ personal
life is largely invaded by the media, and they are constantly in the eye of the public. The
invasion of privacy and harsh judgments from people can put a lot of pressure on
celebrities and restrict their freedom to be themselves in the public. Many celebrities
have complained about these issues. Second, if they make mistakes or get involved in
scandals, this will be detrimental to their career. For example, Britney Spears once was a
very famous singer, nonetheless, many scandals of her personal life have had negative
impacts on her career, and she could hardly gain a reputation like before.
In conclusion, while fame can bring good money and enhance one’s life experience in
some ways, I think that being famous causes more problems such as lack of privacy and
constant pressure from the media and the public.
