Axis Engineering is a small engineering firm located in Saskatoon, SK with a focus on structural, industrial, and safety-related engineering projects. We are
currently looking for an AutoCAD technician on a temporary (3 month) contract with the potential for extension or full-time employment at the end of the
contract.

The ideal candidate will have a two year technical or engineering certificate with AutoCAD specific training in structural and/or architectural drafting. Along
with this minimum training, preference will be given to applicants who have the following:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a draftsperson or CAD technician in the commercial, industrial, or manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must. Experience with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks, Inventor, and Revit are an asset.
A keen eye for design and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with internal team
members and clients.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment where priorities of projects can change quickly.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to problem solve and come up with efficient and sometimes creative solutions.
Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Ability to perform basic structural or mechanical calculations would be considered an asset.
