Job Summary

Your main duties will be structural design and drafting.

You will be expected to demonstrate leadership and
initiative in executing your work. You will be able to solve
problems independently, working closely with lead
engineers. You will be expected to lead small projects and
may get involved with project coordination for certain
clients.
 

Education Requirements

CAD/CAM Engineering Technology Diploma from a

recognized institution.
Architectural Technologist Diploma from a
recognized institution.
Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma from a
recognized institution, or
Engineering Design & Drafting Technologist Diploma
from a recognized institution.
 
Responsibilities

Structural Drafting & Design using 2D & 3D concepts

in Autodesk software (Revit and Navisworks would be
an asset).
Project Leadership
Mentorship of junior staff
 

Qualifications and Skills

This position requires demonstrated strength of

leadership and proven time management capabilities. Your
knowledge of the mining sector and your technical
expertise will round out your quali cations for this
position.
 

Key Knowledge and Experience

A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural design

and drafting are required. Candidates with less experience
with relevant industry exposure may be considered.
Experience working in the consulting eld, especially in
the mining sector and, more speci cally, potash mining,
would be considered an asset. Site experience and heavy
industrial exposure would also be an asset for this
position.
 

Time

We have normal hours of business and every employee will

need to work a minimum of 40 hours per week excluding
personal time needs (vacation, sick, bereavement, banked
time, etc.). In consulting there are always busier times and
slower times. When things get busy there will be a
requirement to work over time so that we can get the job
done and meet our client’s needs.
