Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa (Pty) Zambia (Formerly trading as MTU Africa) has 1 x vacancy for

an Onsite Technician that will be based in Lumwana Zambia.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS & DUTIES

Responsibilities include the following:

• Safety, ethics and mtu systems compliance are non-negotiable.


• Customer satisfaction will be the key to your performance.
• Accurate fault finding and repair of mtu product to the highest standards
• Maintenance service/support of all mtu engines in your area of work
• 24 (twenty-four) hour standby and call out service on mtu engines (where needed).
• Represent Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa (Pty) Zambia Ltd in a professional way during and
after hours that demonstrates integrity and reliability.
• Always have a valid passport and willing to travel.
• Accurate documentation and reporting at all-time.

SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality)

• Use all necessary PPE and safety equipment as required in the work environment
• Maintain all company equipment in good working order. This will not be for private use.
• Be well presented as a proud member of Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa.
• Carry out all duties in strict accordance of the Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa (Pty) Zambia
Ltd quality standards, ISO 9001 standards and follow the procedural instructions.
• Analyse and audit reports relating to the mtu product and report any findings and
suggested corrective actions to the line manager.
• Inspection of the mtu product and reporting any findings and suggested corrective
actions to the line manager.
• Perform any duties and assume any responsibilities as may be agreed between the parties
from time to time;
• Do all maintenance of the mtu product to the required Standards and Guidelines;

General

• The customer must have an account with Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa


• Work shall only be done if an order has been received
• Field service reports shall be completed in full with detailed information
• All parts consumed shall be recorded and signed for by the customer
• All hours worked shall be recorded and signed for by the customer
• Distance travelled shall be recorded and signed for by the customer
• All maintenance and repairs shall be done to Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa Standards
and Guidelines.

• Response times to service the customer shall be quick and efficient

Communications Protocol

• The Technician shall communicate directly with his line manager or designated supervisor
about service schedules and ensure that no service shall be extended beyond the agreed
period.

On Site Relations

• The Technician will take all reasonable steps to enhance the relationship with the
customer.

Laws and Regulations

• The Technician must adhere to all the legal and OHS rules and regulations stipulated by
the customer.
• The Technician will comply with the customer’s security rules and regulations as imposed
from time to time.

Note: The customer has the right to ensure that Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa (Pty) Ltd
personnel shall punctually observe and comply with these directions, instructions,
prescriptions and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Diesel Fitter/Diesel Mechanic/Millwright (EIZ Craftsperson/Technician


Minimum)
• At least 5 years post qualification experience
• Proven track record as Mechanic or MOS
• Registered with EIZ
• Have a valid Silicosis Certificate
• Have First Aid training

Software Access

• Computer literacy (Experience on OEM diagnostic packages would be an advantage)


• Microsoft Office package
