MEET RHEA

Founder & CEO

Rhea founded Ecoware in 2010 when there
was little awareness about the harmful effects
of plastic. Cheap oil prices had led to a
proliferation of plastic production and usage.
Yet, the devastation caused to the natural
environment and the harmful effects on
human and animal health went unnoticed.
There were no plastic bans or any sort of
incentives to change consumer behavior. This
is when Rhea decided to disrupt the
commoditsed packaging industry by creating
a natural and healthy alternative to single-use
plastics.

CASE STUDY

Ecoware necessary in a post-COVID World

Coronavirus can remain stable for up to 2-3 days on plastic

and stainless steel1. The CDC2 guidelines for reopening of
bars and restaurants advocates use of disposable food
service items. ‘Contactless Dining’ will be the norm for the
foreseeable future making the case of 100% natural and
biodegradable Ecoware packaging. The production of
Ecoware provides for in-situ sterilization of all products with
the application of high heat. As a use & throw product it
automatically negates the threat of cross-infections.
