2 HW Management
2.1 Objectives:
After this exercise, the students will able to manage and keep control of
installed hardware. You will learn how to retrieve information from the SPXs
and Cluster CPs. You will then be able to make a draw showing the slot
positions occupied by the related HW in the subracks based on the
information that you will list.
The objective of this part is to let you get familiar with the APZ which is
configured in your test plant. The settings below are done during maiden
installation and are expected to be correct.

Background:
Answer printouts The printout is received immediately after the MML command has
been initiated, on the IO device from which the MML command was initiated.
Result printouts This printout can take relatively longer to assemble than an answer
printout and thus the printout is delayed and not immediately received after the
MML command has been initiated. Firstly the procedure printout ORDERED is
received and the result printout is obtained only after the IO device has been
released, providing that the printout job is finished by this time

the master of these objects for the entire cluster, and will be responsible
for raising/ceasing cluster level alarms on these objects.
