Blade Cluster Platform Operation and Maintenance (BSP)

1 Management Interfaces

1.1 Objectives
This exercise aims to make the students familiar with the structure of APG

connection is performed via NBI interface.

After this exercise, the students will be able to:

6) Define the exchange identity for the Cluster CPs. It could

seem useless defining it, in fact NEID is printed instead of

2 HW Management

2.1 Objectives:
After this exercise, the students will able to manage and keep control of
installed hardware. You will learn how to retrieve information from the SPXs
and Cluster CPs. You will then be able to make a draw showing the slot
positions occupied by the related HW in the subracks based on the
information that you will list.

The objective of this part is to let you get familiar with the APZ which is
configured in your test plant. The settings below are done during maiden
installation and are expected to be correct.

8 The Log service

8.1 Objectives:
After the following exercise, the students will be able to retrieve logs from the
system that is stored on the Adjunct Processor (AP), and to make these logs
available to an Ericsson Support Centre.

8.2 TRANSFERRING LOG FILES FROM APG43L

Your job now is to make use of two commands that can retrieve vital

You can choose the event log to list with clhls command. Try to
set the time interval option for the past one hour period, and
observe any event that might have occurred. Can you explain
what happened?
