Objective: Students will select one Community-based tourism project and will explain about its impact on
the community, the needs that are satisfied with its implementation, and a graphic representation of the
visitors; additionally, they will create the “advertisement” for the place chosen as an artistic production.

Location: San Cristobal, Galapagos

Complete the following activities:

1. Description: include all the activities that are offered to the tourists, and
identify which community´s needs are satisfied by this project.

In San Cristobal you can perform various activities, for example the boat
ride, diving, bicycle rental, swimming with sharks. These activities help the
inhabitants, since being such a small island requires tourism to have more
income. On this island, most of the income helps to keep museums and
tourist places such as monuments in good condition.

2. Create a statistical graph (lines, bars or pie chart) to represent the visitors
per period (month, year, etc…)
