5-Day In-service Training for Teachers


1 Title
“Empowering the Teachers in 2022”
2 Rationale The NEAP, DepEd Central Office Bureaus and Services, and Regional Offices issued DM
50, s. 2020 that defines three-year professional development priorities. The INSET, as a form
of professional development, sets out to meet particular needs of empowering the teachers
in 2022. It aims to upskill and reskill teachers’ competence. Teachers are still in the
adjustment period of meeting with the demands of the current education in accordance to
the Continuity Learning Plan. This is a pressing problem that has to be addressed
continuously to ensure success of education in the new normal, hence, teachers need to

undergo a training that enhances their competence.


The INSET will update the teachers with the current issues and concerns in
education and basics of cultural diversity in education. It will also provide knowledge on
mental health, and strategies in assisting learners in difficult circumstances. Teachers need
also to have an in-depth analysis on the win-win paradigm; revisit lesson planning in the
synchronous and asynchronous learning and engage in teaching demonstration. This will
result to outputs that will facilitate in the implementation of education in the current school
year. These are the training needs of the teachers that the school needs to address.
Finally, the In-service Training for teachers will result to an improved service delivery
and quality outputs in school. It will motivate the teachers to apply their knowledge and
skills to make the delivery of instruction more meaningful and successful.

The program addresses the need of empowering the teachers in 2022. It provides a

Analysis & Discussion. Most importantly, it engages teachers in teaching demonstration with

4 Professional Development Priorities The program is a realization of continuous reskilling of teachers that may result in
better learning outcomes. It serves as an avenue for profesional growth and development of
teachers..
