This unit covers the skills, knowledge and outcomes required to use leadership to promote team cohesion. It includes mo va ng, mentoring, coaching and developing the team and forming the

bridge between the management of the organisa on and team members.

The unit applies to team leaders, supervisors and new or emerging managers where leadership plays a role in developing and maintaining effec ve workplace rela onships. It applies in any
industry or community context. At this level, work will normally be carried out within rou ne and non-rou ne methods and procedures, which require planning, evalua on, leadership and

guidance of others.

This Learner Resource is broken up into three elements. These include:

1. Prepare to lead workplace rela onships

2. Lead workplace rela onships
3. Review leadership

At the end of this training, you will be asked to complete an assessment for this unit of competency. You will need to access a supervisor, a manager, or your assessor who can observe you

perform project or workplace tasks and verify your competency or performance.

On competent comple on of the assessment, you must have demonstrated the skills and knowledge required to lead effec ve workplace rela onships.
