Fourth Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2021

We, the students from the BPSU had a webinar that happened today, November

11, 2021. It was started at 8 am in the morning. The webinar that we had today

was about Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2021. The said webinar

was held by the Civil Defense of the Philippines. Mr. Alex Masiglat was the

moderator for the day, and he stated that the goal of the webinar that we had

today, “this activity aims to increase participation of the general public in

promoting individual and family earthquake preparedness towards community

resilience, with the integration of the public health measures and standards in

the conduct of NSED.” This objective will encourage people to consider how they

will prepare if an earthquake happens. Usec. Ricardo B. Jalad also spoke on the

webinar; he began to give a speech in order to continue the program and to the

other guest speakers. The webinar that we had today was extremely important to

study and understand since it will aid us in surviving an earthquake or other

calamity. The webinar's speakers discussed some important steps that people

must follow in case of an earthquake. We must be prepared with a go-bag, which

contains the essential items that we must carry in case of an earthquake. If we are

in a secluded area, we must do the "duck, cover, and hold" method to protect

ourselves from falling objects. That was one of the most essential preparations

we need to do. This webinar is essential for all of us because we will be able to

understand the guidelines that are required and apply them if an earthquake

occurs. We can save not only ourselves, but also other people who will needs
