Pre-production planning- Initial photoshoot ideas/plans:

 Models
 Locations (location search with images)
 Representation of social groups
 Props, poses and costumes
 Contingency plan

For my main image, issue one I want to use a female model as I am representing gender as the social
group. The model will be in a studio setting as I felt this was more appropriate for the front cover
and the formal feel of the topic. However, I do want you play around with an outsider setting to see
which creates the stronger image. The costume will be freely down to the model but overseen by
myself as I want them to be wearing what they feel is comfortable and expresses them the way they
Want to feel.

In issue two I want to try and represent class as the social group. For this shoot I will go and find a
businesswoman from my local market and try and make this as real and relatable as possible. For
costume and props this will be something I pre plan with my model but also make it as natural as
possible, so it appears like it hasn’t been overly staged. The location will be on their market stall so it
fits in with the model and I will also get other shots so that I can use them elsewhere in my products.

Contingency plan:

As I am still in the early stages of planning and experimenting, I have time if I need to change and
tweak small bits that is possible at this stage. However, as a backup I have the idea to represent age.
This would be through an older model who is posing as an influencing figure to 16–25-year-olds. I
felt like this was very appropriate to the real-life magazine genre as typical stories are of those like
personal experiences. This idea is something I will be considering more as I wat to make sure that if
something goes wrong, I do have another plan ready and easy to do.
