The CONTRACTOR shall perform on Lump Sum Turnkey basis, the detailed engineering
design, material procurement, quality management, fabrication, manufacture, factory
testing and inspection, supply and delivery of all the materials to WORK SITE, install, test,
commission, and perform all associated WORK to put into service with guarantee the

(4)X1080.6 KCMIL ACAR conductor per phase with two (2) OPGW, 120kN
APPROVED rated strength with 24kA fault current for 0.3 sec. at 55C initial temperature.

2. As shown on drawing ET-914566, CONTRACTOR shall perform the following
work to complete the proposed 380kV OHTL from Juaymah BSP-Dhahran

4. Refer to drawings TCD-E0401 sheet 2 of 4: At the location of PI-2,

CONTRACTOR shall investigate and survey the actual location and
configuration of the existing towers adjacent to PI-2. If necessary,
CONTRACTOR shall adjust the location of the proposed PI-2 to provide the
necessary clearances.
5. The proposed 380kV overhead transmission line (Juaymah BSP-Dhahran

BSP) shall be transposed as per the requirement of TES-P-122.01, Section 16.

2. Leg extension shall be limited to a maximum of 10 meters (For tower S1N,

3. The deflection of the diagonal/redundant members of the Body extension and
Leg extension of tower S1N, TA1N, TA2N, TA3N, DE, S1N/SP, TA1N/SP,
TA2N/SP, and TA3N/SP shall not exceed L/130. If the deflection exceeds the
above limit, CONTRACTOR shall provide hangers/supports similar to drawings

existing tower members and submit the design calculations for COMPANY
review and approval. In the calculation of the slenderness ratio L/r, length L in

4. CONTRACTOR shall reinforce the horizontal diaphragm of the 380kV family of
tower (S1N, TA1N, TA2N, TA3N, DE and all SP type towers) provided by SEC.

REVISIONS The horizontal diaphragm of the lower level of the basic body (between the
basic body and the leg/body extension) and the diaphragm of the body
extension shall be provided with additional reinforcements as shown on drawing

5. S1N tower and S1N/SP shall be type tested if the fabricator or supplier

In case of tower failure during testing, Contractor has to carry out the

existing lines, wadis, farms, hills, valleys, pipeline, paved road, tracks and any other
facilities or for any valid reasons and requirements so as to complete the WORK

E. Line Crossings:

existing lines. Crossing below the existing/proposed line shall use latticed steel

gantry structures, horizontal configuration. CONTRACTOR shall design,

fabricate and install the required latticed steel gantry structures which shall also
be designed as full dead end structure (all conductors and OPGW on one side
only). The height of the latticed steel gantry shall be such that the shielding
angle shall cover all the circuits. The portion of the proposed line crossing below

the existing/proposed line shall be fully shielded. OPGW shall be continuous. In

the event the OPGW cannot be continuous, then the CONTRACTOR shall
provide an Underground Non Metallic Fiber Optic Cable (in concrete encased

minimum of two locations. If two circuits cannot cross on the same span due to
the available clearance restriction, then CONTRACTOR shall determine an
alternate route at no additional cost to the COMPANY. Also, in case the

3. Crossing line shall be arranged so that the higher voltage line or line of higher
security shall be over the line of lower voltage or lower security. All methods of
crossings shall be subject to approval and review of the COMPANY.
4. CONTRACTOR shall route the proposed O/H T/L crossing such that it will
satisfy all clearance requirement. If crossing will be below the existing OH TL,
APPROVED CONTRACTOR shall provide Type-I fence around the entire gantry crossing
with two 6 meter wide drive gate with access road connected to the OH TL

6. It is the CONTRACTOR's responsibility to obtain all data and information

8. Reviewer (COMPANY) shall review the method submitted by the

importance of each line crossing.
F. CONTRACTOR shall check the conductor/insulator clearances to the tower body of

the drawings provided by the COMPANY. If necessary, the tower shall be modified

P. CONTRACTOR shall strictly comply with the requirements of the Right of Way
approvals. CONTRACTOR shall comply with the following.

5. CONTRACTOR shall protect and relocate (if necessary) all utilities, which may

shall exercise caution, familiarize himself, and investigate the WORKSITE
thoroughly prior to the actual commencement of WORK.
If any utility is encountered unexpectedly, the COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE

necessary shall be put in hand without delay and without prejudice to the

6. The WORK within the jurisdiction of related agencies should be carried out
