Objective:
Internet of Things plays an important role in connecting the things i.e. variety of devices through
the Internet. The IoT has emerged as an cutting-edge technology with applications in
manufacturing, healthcare, Agriculture, transport, mining, smart cities and many more. This subject
covers the fundamentals of IoT with its architecture, protocols and Applications. It also covers the
overview and programming of two widely used IoT platforms Arduino and Raspberry Pi.

Teaching & Learning Methodology: -


The various methods or tools follows by the faculties to teach the above subject are:
1. The course includes a laboratory, where students have an opportunity to build an
appreciation for the concepts being taught in lectures.
2. Lectures with live practical example using Projector and Computer.
3. Experiments shall be performed in the laboratory related to course contents.

1. Study about Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in IOT application.


2. Study the impact of antenna power in range and connectivity in a wireless sensor
network.
3. Study different sensors like moisture sensor, rain gauge, temperature sensor, etc.
4. Study and Install IDE of Arduino and different types of Arduino
5. Write program using Arduino IDE for Blink LED.
6. Study the Temperature sensor and Write Program for monitor temperature using Arduino.
7. Study and Configure Raspberry Pi.
8. Write a program for LED blink using Raspberry Pi.
9. Study and Implement Zigbee Protocol using Arduino / Raspberry Pi.
10. Write a program to measure gas density using MQ series sensor and display gas level on
serial monitor.
